**Long Weekend Shenanigans** Part One {Sept. 2019}

What a great weekend!! We definitely tried to cram it full of lots of fun, family things… I feel rested and ready for the week… almost… haha!

We had had a long month week, so I decided to do something special Friday evening. Despite the 90 plus degree weather, I got some things at the store to make smores. We had so much fun, and they were yummy! We were a little toasty sitting by the fire. We enjoyed just sitting and relaxing after a long week….

I needed to make a pound cake for Joey’s Granny’s get together the next day… I had a great, little helper. 😉

Addison was up bright and early Saturday morning. I turned on some Mickey Mouse, and she read her unicorn book while I got ready.

I had made plans to get up early Saturday and head about an hour north to meet up with my good friend, Katy. We wanted to do some shopping at the cute downtown area and grab some lunch. It was so good seeing her and hanging out. #justlikeoldtimes

We took an ice cream break.

We took a few more pictures on the un-used train track before heading back south.

Saturday afternoon we went to Joey’s Granny’s house for a get together with his family. We had some sweet treats that included homemade ice cream and some cakes/cookies/brownies. So, pretty much, we were all in a sugar coma. Haha! 😉

Addison enjoyed playing with her cousins.

We weren’t really hungry for a lot of food after all the sweets. So, we headed to Chick-fil-A. I tried the mac-n-cheese. It was really good and creamy. We left there and stopped by Hobby Lobby. I just wanted to peruse through all the holiday decorations. #septemberishere #givemeallthepumpkins

That’s it for today…. I’ll share the rest of our fun weekend tomorrow. 🙂

Enjoy your day!
