**Thanksgiving Getaway 2019- Part I**

Happy Monday!! It’s hard to get back into the routine after being off for a week and being gone and getting back into town yesterday afternoon and having to unpack and do loads of laundry….

We decided to go on a little getaway this Thanksgiving up to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We left Wednesday around lunchtime after Joey got home from work. We took our camper and stayed at a really nice campground. Our cousins were camped right next to us, and we enjoyed talking and playing with them.

Right after we got set up, Addison was ready to ride her new bike.

We walked over to the river for a view.

We had a nice camping spot.

On Thursday, Thanksgiving day, we cooked breakfast at camp then headed out to ride the short trip to Cade’s Cove to see if we could find any animals.

The ride over was beautiful!

Here we are, up front, all ready to ride around the loop.

Our Little Turkey

After leaving Cade’s Cove, Addison was exhausted.

We left there and headed to eat a Thanksgiving meal. We had no idea everywhere would be Sooo packed. We ended up waiting 2 hours!

The only positive, and saving grace, was there were some outside games to keep Addison occupied for the long wait.

We decided to go walk off our meal at the Island. It was beautifully decorated and illuminated for Christmas.

That’s it for this part of our trip…. I will share more about our fun trip later this week. I hope you all have a great start to your week! 😉

xoxo
