Christmas Break Part II {1.15.20}

Happy Wednesday! I’m finally getting around to recapping part two of break. It’s been exciting around here lately.  If you missed part one, read all about it here

Today, I’m going to start by sharing what we are eating this week. It looks like I’m getting off pretty easy this week in the cooking department. 😉

Sunday: *Ate at my parents* Cubed Steak, Parmesan potatoes, green beans, squash casserole, creamed corn, and apple pie for dessert Yum Yum! #thankyoumama

Monday: Joey cooked while I took Addison to dance. He made this Chicken skillet meal with rice and broccoli, and it was delicious! #thankshun

Tuesday: Polish sausage, air fryer cauliflower, and pinto beans

Wedneday:  Leftover Chicken skillet meal

Thursday: It’s Joey’s birthday, so I’m cooking what he requested- Hamburgers, fries, and I’m making him a coconut cake

Friday: Not sure if we will have leftovers from Tuesday or if we will go out with some family for Joey’s birthday.

So let’s get to the recap….. Addison and I left early in the morning on the day after Christmas to travel down with my parents to Florida to visit my Dad’s family. It was a little breezy on the first day but warmed up the next day so much we went to the playground then the beach!

We visited with my cousin Kathy and my Aunt Linda and Uncle Dennis.

We had a short trip but enjoyed visiting with family. The weather was just nice the one day and rained all other days.

Addison and I headed back north to Georgia.

On New Years day, we kept it low key. I developed some sinus crud and was feeling a little under the weather, so I didn’t feel like doing a whole lot. I cooked and Addison played. Joey went to visit some of his friends that he hadn’t seen in a long time from high school.

Does anyone else cook the traditional New Years meal?

That night Addison read some to us.

That’s it for today…. I hope you’re having a good week. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m excited about the upcoming three day weekend. See you back here for Friday Favorites!

And Happy Birthday to my hubby tomorrow! Addison and I are so thankful for him and everything he does for us. I hope you have the best day!! Love you!!

xoxo
