**Friday Favorites** {6.19.2020}

Happy Friday!!!!  Today I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing some of my favorite things from the week!! 🙂

This week, after coming off a week of vacation, we had another busy week. We had our church revival this week, and Addison had swim lessons. We also had dance class on Monday. To say we weren’t home a lot and in the car mostly driving places would be an understatement.

We hadn’t been inside church since the beginning of March. It was good to be back. Wearing all the dresses is Addison’s favorite.

Here’s another favorite.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t very cooperative this week. It rained right at our swim lessons time a couple times, and the temperatures were very cool for this time of year. I’m talking in the low 60’s in the mornings. #crazy2020 Addison didn’t let that deter her. Mrs. B is definitely a favorite!

This was about mid-week when we had lots of hugs and some tears. Haha! She quickly got over it. #weepyWednesday

While sitting and waiting on Addison at swim lessons, I made sure to still protect myself. The perfect SPF for my face is this Supergoop Matte Screen! (Affiliate Link) With SPF 40, it’s great for protection and goes on smooth giving a hint of color and coverage.

And the best SPF ever is here….

Addison watching Frozen 2 while we wait to pick up Joey’s granny on the way to church was a favorite. #peaceandquiet

French braided hair is a favorite. It makes me think of when my Nanny used to french braid my hair. I loved it! Her braid was always so tight, I felt like my eyes were pulled back so tight. I wish I could do it like her. I’m trying. #goals

One evening driving home, while it was drizzly rain, we had a beautiful sky. I couldn’t not take a picture. Of course the streaky windshield wasn’t very favorable to my picture. #godsbeauty

Typically, we go eat with everyone daily after our morning service. However, with Covid, we decided not to risk getting anyone sick. So, with trying to add in some normalcy, I baked a cake. It tasted delicious. Unfortunately, the top layer decided to split into thirds. It was not the easiest thing in the world to ice. #shouldvejustdonecakeballs

The icing recipe is here. And let me tell you, it’s delicious!  Chocolate is a favorite around here for sure!

Dry shampoo is always a favorite. I have finally found one that I really like!! You should definitely try this one because who likes to constantly wash their hair? Not me… This one gives my hair volume, smells good, and doesn’t leave any sort of residue. The picture is from day 3 of not washing my hair. 😉

And this was from just yesterday…. Addison really gained her confidence this week at swim lessons. We were so proud of her!!!

And here she is on video. 😉 Love our little fish.

And if you missed our vacation recap posts, part I is here. Part II is here. 🙂

That’s it for this week of favorites! We are super excited about our weekend and about celebrating with our favorite guys for Father’s Day!!! I hope you all have a fabulous day and weekend!!!

xoxo

I need braiding tutorials. I had some students try to teach me last year. I don’t remember anything they taught me.

Thank you for the dry shampoo recommendation! I have been using Living Proof, but it leaves a residue. I’m going to give the Klorane one a try!

My babysitter (and next door neighbor growing up) did the best braids! They were so tight I could get them to stay in for up to a week. I don’t have girls but have taught myself to braid my own hair but I just can not get them to be that tight.

That sunset is gorgeous!! And our temps were a little low this past week too. I loved it though. Made for good running weather. Today, it’s been a sauna!! And we’ve been back in church for a month I think. It is wonderful to be service with your church family!
