**MB Vacation Recap Part I** {6.15.2020}

Last weekend, we packed up and headed to the beach with my parents. We were hesitant about going and really weighed the pros/cons. We decided we would just try to be as cautious as possible and would really like to just get away.

We have a travel trailer, and my parents have a fifth wheel camper. We felt very safe being in these. We stayed at an Oceanfront campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. Today I’m sharing part one of our trip.

We arrived on Friday, June 5th, got set up and ran down for a quick walk on the beach. It was so good to put our toes in the sand. #allsmiles

I had made my sausage muffins prior to our trip, so we had those for breakfast along with some donuts. We couldn’t let the day go by without celebrating National Donut day.

We enjoyed a full day at the beach. The weather was perfect. It was very breezy, and Addison even had a small, wading pool.

We went out to Hamburger Joe’s that night which is one of our favorite places to go. It was a little crowded but nothing like normal.

After dinner, we went back to camp and did some more evening beach walking.

The next day, we drove around some to just check things out. We didn’t really get out. We did some bike riding. That night we cooked some Hibachi style food on the griddle for dinner. It was delicious!

This is the griddle we have. We love it! We have already used it three times, and it’s super easy to use.

Since we weren’t going to be with my dad on Father’s day, we celebrated a little early. We ended up giving Joey his presents too because a lot of them were for him to enjoy on this trip. 😉

After dinner, we took Addison down to the beach to let her play for a little bit. She was definitely loving the ocean and the sand this year. Oh, I wish we lived closer. I love the beach too!

Addison was exhausted… I snuck and got this sweet picture before she woke up.

She was ready to go to the beach.

One big reason I love the beach is for the awesome seafood, and these shrimp n’ grits did not disappoint.

A few beach pictures all dressed up.

That’s it for part one of our trip. I’ll see you back here on Wednesday for part two. 🙂

xoxo
