**What’s Up Wednesday** {June 2020}

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I will share a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us lately. I can’t believe June is already almost over.

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: We took Joey out for Father’s day.

Monday: Crock Pot Roast, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans (I only put carrots in the crock pot and mashed my potatoes separately)

Tuesday: Chicken/Steak Fajitas– we have bell peppers coming in so I decided to make some fajitas

Wednesday: Chicken Noodle Cheese Casserole (picture/recipe below), Sauteed Zucchini/squash from the garden

Thursday: Leftover Fajitas

Friday: Kitchen’s Closed. Going out

Saturday: Eating with Joey’s Dad and family to celebrate his birthday!! 🙂

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

I have had a lot of beach memories pop up lately… These were from 2 years ago….

This was from Father’s day last year… so sweet!

3. What I’m Loving:

I’m loving that we made the decision to put up a pool this summer. We have been having so much fun in it this year. Especially since our summer was extended some. And  we are loving All the pool floats!! This Unicorn float has been the best!!

We have had this next thing for a few years, but it needs to be noted. Some of you may really need it. (Especially if you’re a germaphobe like me). I ordered this potty seat a few years ago, and we take it everywhere we go. It has truly been a life saver and has definitely made me feel better about Addison going to the bathroom in public. I would highly recommend it if you have a little one. It folds up easily and comes in a great bag to carry and throw in her diaper bag. It would even make a great baby shower gift.

I’m still Loving my Silk pillowcase. It was such a good investment!! Can’t praise it enough!

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

We were able to go on vacation a couple weeks ago. See my recaps here. Part I. Part II

We also celebrated our favorite guys on Father’s day.

We did some Home Goods shopping earlier this week.

We enjoyed lunch with my Mom one day.

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉

I’m just a little uneasy about what the decision will be about school starting. We are supposed to find out by July 1st.

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on cleaning our house. I have neglected cleaning it the past few weeks with us being out of town then having Church revival and swim lessons/dance last week. So, this week, I’m back to it.

I’ve also been working on cleaning out my closet. I’ve been posting some things online and have been successful selling most things. I’m trying to make room for more stuff. Joey is not thrilled. Haha!

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am excited to be home for a few days and just chill out at the pool.

We are hopeful to do a couple more beach trips before we go back to school if we can figure out a time to go.

I’m also excited about the 4th! I don’t know what kind of festivities we will be doing, but I sure do love a cookout and some fireworks. This shirt will definitely make me feel festive!

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

Well… I’ve been watching a whole lot of Netflix…. and not a whole lot else. I finally finished all of Hart of Dixie. I am so happy about the ending! It was full of drama just like the whole series. But I loved it!

Normally, this time of year, I’d be watching the Bachelorette, but you know… Covid.. Ugh! So, I’ve been watching Fuller House on Netflix too.

I finally finished “Hello Summer“, by Mary Kay Andrews. This one was loooooooooong. I typically love her books, but I felt like this one went on forever. If you like her books, then you should read it. If you’ve never read her books, I’d skip this one and read one of her other ones first.

I’m now reading “Feels like Falling” and flying through it. It’s my kind of summer/beach read. I  am about halfway through, but I’m definitely loving it so far!

9. What I’m Listening To:

At the moment Finding Dory is playing, in the background, on Disney+.

10. What I’m Wearing:

This made me giggle… 😉

I’ve been wearing a lot of my Betsey’s boutique shirts. If you don’t know about this cute boutique, you need to check out their website.  Here

Here I am in one of the shirts. They have great dress options too!

I love this shirt in red and mint. The red would be so cute for the 4th!

I also love this striped shirt in Terra Cotta. What a pretty color! And such a great price at $20.

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

We don’t have a lot planned. We are going to Joey’s dad’s house on Saturday evening to celebrate his Dad’s birthday! We are grilling out and just going to hang out and probably play some yard games if the weather is nice.

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

Maybe a little girls getaway. And possibly another little family getaway.

I am also excited about the 4th!

13. What Else is New:

We are possibly in the market for a new camper. Although we love our current camper, it just gets a little cramped when we are in it for a long period of time (week). #stuffeverywhere #nowheretogo

We are looking into getting a fifth wheel with a mid-bunk and making sure our bathroom is a little bigger. At least big enough to turn around in. 🙂

Thank you all so much for reading. I truly am thankful for all of you! I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday for some weekly favorites!

xoxo

I definitely need that last Amazon shipping option! What a great idea to put in a pool; I bet it’s coming in so handy this summer. We’re pretty up in the air with what’s happening with our schools up here too… and we don’t have a date that we’ll know by either. In normal years that wouldn’t matter since we homeschool but my middle son was planning on attending a local high school this fall and now he’s not sure he wants to bother. I guess we’ll just wait and see.

Oh, I hope we can get to the beach this summer. It isn’t seeming likely however 🙁 And I wish our library carried Kristy Woodson Harvey — I’ve heard such great things about her books.
