**Hello Monday** Vacation Recap Part I {6.14.2021}

Hey everybody! I’m excited to be back to the blog world. We had so much fun last week on vacation! Today, I’m sharing Part I of our little getaway. I hope you enjoy.

To give a little background, we used to have a 28 foot travel trailer. We loved it! We had it for 5 years and had many great memories in it! Last September, we upgraded to a 42 foot fifth wheel. We love it, but it is long! It’s hard to get in a lot of campgrounds/campsites. We have to be very meticulous in where we go.

We always go on vacation with my parents in June to North Myrtle Beach. We take our camper. They take theirs. Typically, we are able to park right beside them. With the new addition, our new camper won’t fit right beside them, in the site we usually reserve. So, the campground moved us to “the flood plains”. We didn’t know it should be deemed this until it rained.

It came a torrential downpour for about an hour and turned our site into a lake. Literally… This was within hours of our arrival. 🙁

Me, being the loving, adoring wife that I am, I sent Joey to the front office to try to get us moved. Well, that didn’t go as planned because, with our camper’s length, there really wasn’t anywhere else for us to go.

The next day, we had a little more rain and some cloudy skies, but we were still excited to get to the beach.

The local fire truck even came by for a visit.

Addison found a friend to play with. They were cracking us up.

Quick snack before some pool time.

That night we headed to one of our favorite must-haves Hamburger Joe’s.

After dinner, we went to play putt-putt golf.

Joey won, followed by Dad, me, and Mama. We all laughed and had so much fun! Addison kept begging to play some more.

The next day, we woke up to more heavy rain. We found an open lot and decided to check to see if it was available for us to move out of the “lake”. And thank goodness, it was!! We spent most of Sunday moving and trying to stay dry.

Aunt Dot and Uncle Coon arrived that day. We did walk down and get some ice cream.

And Addison was able to have a short bike ride.

We all headed to Bimini’s that night for some seafood.

Addison was cracking us up playing with Uncle Coon’s crab claw.

The gang’s all here. 😉

There were some old fire trucks out back. The guys had to check them out.

The next day, we were bound and determined to make it to the beach come rain, sleet or snow. Thankfully, it was partly cloudy.

Did a little reading time before we left for dinner.

After dinner, we came back and did an evening bike ride.

That’s it for the first part of our vacation recap. What do you guys have going on this week? Thanks for stopping by!
