Hello Everyone! Happy Thursday! I’m back today sharing another post from our trip out west. If you missed my other recaps, be sure to start there. This trip recap is from when we traveled to Glacier National Park. This recap of the trip is when we traveled to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse & Cody, Wyoming, read it all here.
Since Yellowstone was such a huge picture day, I’m only sharing our drive into West Yellowstone and our visit to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. I would highly recommend going if you’re in town. It was awesome, and we got to see the animals up close and personal.
We got up on Friday morning and headed South to West Yellowstone. We saw some beautiful country and went through Idaho.
We drove by Henry’s Lake in Idaho. With the mountain range behind them, was beautiful.
And then we arrived into West Yellowstone, Montana.
When you drive into Yellowstone NP, it becomes Wyoming.
We got checked into where we were staying and went exploring.
We went in the visitor’s center. Then, we decided to check out the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center.
It was really nice! We loved looking at all the animals native to that area.
Most of these animals are rescues.
These wolves were brothers and were beautiful.
The one loner laying down was from different pack.
We loved checking out all the different Grizzly’s. They would feed them and hide the food, so they loved searching.
All these bears were ones that had gotten into too much mischief and gotten too comfortable around humans. Not always from their fault. Once they figure out they can get a food source, they never really unlearn it. Often they even have to be put down.
This guy was cracking us up laying on his back in the little pond.
We saw some owls and bald eagles.
There was a cute otter.
Addison got a grizzly bear stuffy and named it Mocha.
If you’re in town, I would definitely recommend going here!
After finishing up at the Discovery center, we walked around town. We checked out the Chandler Mercantile which is my maiden name.
We grabbed some delicious Mexican at a good truck and called it a night.
We had another big tour the next day of the lower loop of Yellowstone. There are so many things to share with you guys, so I decided to leave that for another post!
I’ll see you guys back here tomorrow!
