**Hello Monday** {8.16.2021}

Happy Monday! It’s not good to see you again so soon. Ha! Why do the weekends always go by so fast? Today, I’m recapping our weekend.

Friday night, I did a bunch of laundry and was in the bed by 9:00. It was the perfect night!

Saturday morning, we were up bright and early for some soccer.

And it was a scorcher and so humid even by 8:45 am. Sweat was just pouring down my face.

After the game, I guess we wanted to keep up the misery of the heat because we went by the Farmer’s Market. It was so hot! We grabbed some okra, visited some booths, Addison got a cake pop, and then we were on our merry way to some air conditioning.

Once we got home, I did some more laundry, cleaned and organized some. Then, we swam for a while and played in the pool. It felt very refreshing. I did some afternoon reading, and then we went to grab some dinner.

Growing up, there were only a few restaurants in our town. One of them was Pizza Hut. It had a salad bar and was very fancy, I thought. Ha! It closed a few years back and went to a different location for carry out only. This local family opened it back up recently into a Mexican restaurant. I’ve heard good things about it, so we wanted to check it out. It was very delicious and everything tasted so fresh. Now, it will always be known as Pizza Hut Mexican to me. 🙂

We had to do some running around and pick up Addison’s class some treasure box items. We promised Addison if she played with more aggression, on the field, we would go get ice cream. So, here we are on the way home.

The humidity had dropped that evening, so we wanted to enjoy some outside time, on the porch. The cat would not leave Addison alone, and she was cracking up at it.

This Thermacell Mosquito Repeller has been such a great investment. And, we wouldn’t have been able to hang on the porch without it going. Those pesky insects love us, so this has been a must have. And, it’s rechargable, which makes it really convenient without cords going everywhere.

I suppose I turned 36 and everything starts going downhill fast. Since starting back to work, I’ve had some pain in my left foot. Kindof feels like bruising. I just assumed it was some type of bruise and would heal on its own. Well, it hasn’t really improved. I did some research and think it’s the onset of Plantar’s fascitis. #sigh I don’t wear the best shoes for walking/standing on concrete all day. And I have a really high arch/instep. So, I’m reaching out to you all to see if you have any shoe recommendations. Preferably ones that could be semi dressy with dressy capris, skinny jeans, or dresses. Thank you!!

Yesterday, we didn’t do anything too exciting. We went for a walk after breakfast, I laid in the sun and read a while before the rain arrived, we played, and we watched a few movies. We just tried to recharge for the upcoming week. It was nice!

Thanks for stopping by!
