**What’s up Wednesday** {1.25.2023}

Hey Friends!! How is everyone today? It’s the  last Wednesday of the month, so I’m linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing everything that has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: We went to Mom and Dad’s for dinner. She cooked.

BBQ Ribs, Creamed Corn, Green Beans, Fried Okra

Monday: Irish Stew from Costco (This stew was delicious!)

Tuesday: Chicken Rice Bowls

Wednesday: Grilled Shrimp, Baked Potato, Grilled Broccoli

Thursday: Leftover Chicken Rice Bowls

Friday: Date Night

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed!

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

Last year, in January, I went with some girls to see Reba. We had a blast!

I’m still waiting on some snow for this year. We had a tiny bit last year and took advantage of getting in some sledding.

And Joey had Donuts with Dads at Addison’s school last year. It’s coming up this week, so they are both super excited!

3. What I’m Loving:

I don’t know about ya’ll, but right now I’m feeling extra pale. I brought out the old reliable, FakeBake Flawless Self Tanning Spray, and it’s done just the trick for giving me the glow I need right now. It comes with gloves and a mitt for application. It is super easy to apply, and the directions are very simple and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend it.

I’m also loving all things Valentine’s here on Jane.com. They have so many adorable shirts, and I especially love the Valentine Stickers and bags which allows my busy self to easily stuff Valentines.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

At the beginning of January, we took a drive to hike Tallulah Gorge. I still have nightmares about those stairs and the swinging bridge. LOL.

We celebrated Addison’s sweet classmate, Henry’s birthday at Chuck E. Cheese! She had a blast!

And, we had so much fun celebrating Joey’s 40th birthday in Pigeon Forge, TN.

We had a short field trip to see the high schooler’s put on a play with my work besties.

And, Addison and I did a 5k in the very cold to help celebrate sweet Bree’s legacy.

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on this blog post as well as some school work.

I am also busy planning our upcoming trips.

This is how I feel right now.  😉

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am really excited about all the fun things we have planned next month.

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I flew through Confess by Colleen Hoover last month. It was soooo good! There was a little bit of mystery, a little bit of thriller, and a lot of romance. I just had to know how it ended.

This is what Amazon has to say about it.

At age twenty-one, Auburn Reed has already lost everything important to her. In her fight to rebuild her shattered life, she has her goals in sight and there is no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a chance and puts her heart in control, only to discover that Owen is keeping a major secret from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

To save their relationship, all Owen needs to do is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin.

Then right after I finished reading, I found this short season on Amazon Prime. The story line and a few details were different, but it was similar enough that I enjoyed watching. It was a little cheesy.  But Joey watched it with me and seemed to enjoy it even though he didn’t read the book.

Joey and I started watching That 90s show on Netflix. Have you guys watched it yet? What do you think? I do like the quick snippets of the original characters. I swear they haven’t aged a bit.

9. What I’m Listening To:

Right now I’m listening to some podcasts. I’ve currently been listening to “The Southern Tea”.

10. What I’m Wearing:

I ordered this sweater from Loft and it just came in! I wore it to work this week, and it was great! It’s very soft, and I love the puff sleeve. Get the sweater 30% off with the Code: LOVE

Here are some Amazon sweaters that I ordered last year. They’re still available. I grabbed this cute gray sweater. It comes in a bunch of different color ways. The cable knit on the heart makes it super cute and the quality is definitely there.

I also ordered this Red Long Sleeve Top last year. I love the heart outline on the front, but this one also has other design options too!

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

We have a basketball game going on, and I’m not sure what else. I need to start getting things ready for our big trip next month.

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

A week off and our trip to Disney!!

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

I just ordered a pack of the Mighty Patch. Even at my age, I still get breakouts. #sigh These little stickers have amazing reviews. Over 115,000. You just put it on right before bedtime, and when you wake up, it has absorbed all the gunk.

Anyone else suffering from crazy dry skin right now? I hate the winter months when my skin just flakes off, and is so itchy! Not only that, but my lips are crazy dry too. My Lanolips is just the thing to help moisturize anything dry, not just my lips.

14. What Else Is New:

I can’t think of anything else right now.

Thank you all for reading! I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!
