**Winter Break Vacation to NC Part II** {2.7.2024}

Happy Wednesday friends!!

Today, I’m finally getting around to sharing Part II of our Winter vacation. If you missed Part I, be sure to start reading here

Thursday, we woke up, went to breakfast, and we started exploring the area.

We headed into the town of Blowing Rock to walk around. It was very cute.

After walking around Blowing Rock, we headed driving down the mountain, toward Lenoir, to see the mountains.

We rode out to The Blowing Rock.

It was so neat! The views were amazing! Thankfully it was a clear day.

We walked around some of the trails.

Joey and Addison actually climbed to the top of the rock they call “Blowing Rock”. I volunteered to stay below and take a picture. I do not like heights.

I snapped some, from down below, on the backside. Where I felt I was safely on the ground.

Then, Joey and Addison wanted to go down the stairs of death. Haha! It wasn’t too bad.

After we left Blowing Rock, we headed back to the hotel for a little rest.

We had dinner reservations at The Peddlar. This is a favorite restaurant in Gatlinburg, TN. So, when I saw they had one in Boone, I definitely wanted to go!

I don’t feel like it was as good as the other one, but it was still good. I would go back.

Addison wanted more time in the pool, after dinner.

Friday morning, we packed up and checked out to head to Johnson City, TN where my parents were staying with some of my cousins.

As we traveled over the mountains, there was a little bit of snow.

The town of Banner Elk was very quaint.

We arrived in a few short hours, and we were excited to see everyone.

It’s hard to tell, but it started snowing soon after we arrived. Addison was so excited! It was freezing outside!

Patricia and Jim had their house decorated so beautifully for Christmas.

After dinner, we headed downtown to walk around and see the Christmas tree’s displayed. It’s so hard to take pictures of Christmas lights. It was freezing cold by the way.

We just had a quick visit because the next morning we packed up and headed home. We enjoyed our little winter getaway. See ya back here on Friday!
