What's Up Wednesday

**What’s up Wednesday** {4.30.2025}

what's up wednesday new graphic

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: We had lunch at church. I cooked Macaroni n’ cheese, hash brown casserole, chicken tenders and coconut cake

Monday: Roast, green beans and leftover hash brown casserole

Tuesday: Chicken Quesadillas

Wednesday: Leftover Roast and sides

Thursday: Baked Ziti

Friday: Pizza

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed!

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

This was from 2020 when we had to do dance classes via Zoom.

Some sweet Easter memories.

And the time we went on a drive thru field trip to the zoo.

I know it was a crazy time, but I truly enjoyed those slower, at home days.

More Easter fun in 2021 and our favorite… strawberry picking.

I’m also reminiscing over Spring break trips of past… like this one in 2022.

3. What I’m Loving:

Usually we put mulch in this area beside the back patio. I wanted something different and a little cleaner. We got some black slate chips, and I am loving them! I feel like this will be better long term and not be so messy on the patio.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

We started off the month with a Spring Break trip to Destin, FL. We enjoyed lots of food and ice cream and all got a little too much sun. We had so much fun and were sad to see it end. If you missed it, read all about it here

I enjoyed a night out with the girls.

We attended Joey’s cousins wedding and had a fun time.

We wrapped up our Spring soccer season.

We celebrated Easter and loved spending the day with family.

We celebrated Mom & Dad’s birthdays this month.

I’m still working my way through state testing in our building.

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not dreading anything.

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on wrapping up all the End of the Year things at school… so much going on!

I’m also working on little house projects.

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am really excited about all the fun things we have planned next month.

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I finally finished Kristy Woodson Harvey’s A Happier Life, and it was really good! I always enjoy her books, but tend not to get to them in the summer because they come out typically in the late summer, and I’m already vested in other reads. It’s a little mystery, a little romance, which is my kind of read.

A Happier Life

I finally finished all the seasons of Younger… I definitely enjoyed it. It had a lot of twists and a little bit of far-fetched-ness, but I definitely enjoyed it this easy watch.

Joey and I watched The Life List, and we thought it was good. I probably enjoyed it better than him, but that’s just because he prefers action and not sappy… I enjoyed the storyline and thought it was original.

9. What I’m Listening To:

Not a thing at the moment.

10. What I’m Wearing:

See above… a lot of testing shirts to get them motivated!

I’m still loving my slide on sandals from Target. They’re very fun!

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

I don’t really know what we have planned for the weekend. But I’m sure we will find something fun to get into. I’m really excited it will be May!

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

I love that we will get to celebrate our Moms for Mother’s Day! We also have Emma’s graduation, and we may squeeze in a little weekend getaway. Plus all the End of the Year activities. I really can’t believe it’s the last month of the school year.

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

I just got another order of Invisible Glass in, and I forgot how great it is!

Wow! This cheese rotating grater is definitely an item that I never knew how much I needed. I flew through grating cheese for all my meals at Easter. It’s a great thing to have if you prefer to buy the block cheese and grate yourself.

14. What Else Is New:

That’s it!

Thank you for stopping by. See you back here on Friday!
