**What’s up Wednesday** {5.31.2023}

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I am sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

Here we go….

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

Oh my goodness all these sweet end of year pictures are tearing me up. The first one was in 2020, when all was crazy, and there was no official “school”.

3. What I’m Loving:

This little stain treater has quickly become a favorite, and I’m loving it! It’s legit like magic!

We are loving our new outdoor patio set. It’s from Wayfair. We got the gray on gray. It’s been great, and we are very happy with it!

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

Wow! What a busy month we have had! It’s so crazy that we have done all this and more this month.

We started the month with Joey going on a business trip to Philly. Mom, Addison, and I went to pick strawberries while he was gone. They were so delicious!

I had the sweetest Mother’s Day Tea at A’s school.

We enjoyed celebrating all our Mothers for Mother’s day!

Addison performed in her dance recital, and it was the best yet!

We celebrated our sweet Kindergartener graduating. We are going to miss her little school and Mrs. Lindsey so much! We are already planning play dates with all her classmates and Mrs. Lindsey!

We celebrated the student’s last day of school and Addison had a blast on her last day of school!

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not dreading anything right now. I am ready for Summer vacation to officially begin after today!! 😉

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on this blog post as well as thinking about how to get my Summer started quickly. You can check out our Summer Bucket List here

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am really excited about all the fun things we are about to get into in the next few weeks!

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

Earlier this month, I read Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover. It was an easy read, but really cute! Very light hearted I enjoyed the main character and was eager to see what happened in the end. Here’s what Amazon has to say.

After a childhood filled with poverty and neglect, Beyah Grim finally has her hard-earned ticket out of Kentucky with a full ride to Penn State. But two months before she’s finally free to change her life for the better, an unexpected death leaves her homeless and forced to spend the remainder of her summer in Texas with a father she barely knows.

Devastated and anxious for the summer to go by quickly, Beyah has no time or patience for Samson, the wealthy, brooding guy next door. Yet, the connection between them is too intense to ignore. But with their upcoming futures sending them to opposite ends of the country, the two decide to maintain only a casual summer fling. Too bad neither has any idea that a rip current is about to drag both their hearts out to sea.

Heart Bones

I’m almost through with All Good People Here. It had a slow start for me, but now that I’m in the book, I quickly want to read it. I just wish I had more time. However, in just 24 hours, I will!! #freedom It has almost 20,000 reviews, so a lot of people love it too!

Here’s Amazon’s Description:

You can’t ever know for sure what happens behind closed doors.

Everyone from Wakarusa, Indiana, remembers the infamous case of January Jacobs, who was discovered in a ditch hours after her family awoke to find her gone. Margot Davies was six at the time, the same age as January—and they were next-door neighbors. In the twenty years since, Margot has grown up, moved away, and become a big-city journalist. But she’s always been haunted by the feeling that it could’ve been her. And the worst part is, January’s killer has never been brought to justice.

When Margot returns home to help care for her uncle after he is diagnosed with early-onset dementia, she feels like she’s walked into a time capsule. Wakarusa is exactly how she remembers—genial, stifled, secretive. Then news breaks about five-year-old Natalie Clark from the next town over, who’s gone missing under circumstances eerily similar to January’s. With all the old feelings rushing back, Margot vows to find Natalie and to solve January’s murder once and for all.

But the police, Natalie’s family, the townspeople—they all seem to be hiding something. And the deeper Margot digs into Natalie’s disappearance, the more resistance she encounters, and the colder January’s case feels. Could January’s killer still be out there? Is it the same person who took Natalie? And what will it cost to finally discover what truly happened that night twenty years ago?

Twisty, chilling, and intense, All Good People Here is a searing tale that asks: What are your neighbors capable of when they think no one is watching?

All Good People Here

Joey and I have started the newest season of Firefly Lane. I’ve heard it’s super sad, so I’m trying to prepare myself. I read the book years ago, but I don’t really remember what happens.

9. What I’m Listening To:

Addison has the “Croods” on TV at the moment, so that’s what I hear.

10. What I’m Wearing:

Sooooo much Jules & James!! One of my favorite online boutiques!!

I ordered this Sail Away Tropical Tiered Maxi Dress, and it’s going to be so perfect for wearing this summer and to the beach! I love that it has a little button closure, so you don’t get a peep show. 😉 It is a little long for my 5’4″ height, but I just slipped on some of my heels, and I was good to go! Woven Heels

I grabbed this cute ruffle sleeve top. I love the colors in it! I love the fit! It’s rounded on the side and goes lower in the front and back. It has the cutest little ruffle sleeve, and is super soft.

I love the fun print of this top and the name! It’s called the Summer in Cabo top! The fit is darling, and it has a ruffle under the sleeves. It has a generous fit, so you are able to size down.

I love anything THML brand, and J & J just recently launched some very adorable new THML pieces. I snagged this pink gingham embroidered top. So cute! Love the fit! Love all the embroidered details!

We are celebrating my Papa’s 93rd birthday with a cookout. I’m not sure what else we have going on.

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

A little vacay, some rest time hopefully, some pool time, and making our way through the Summer Bucket List.

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

I shared a lot of my Summer Essentials from Amazon on this post.

This foot cream from Amazon is truly the best thing that I’ve found for rough feet. It’s perfect right now for flip flop and sandals time.

14. What Else Is New:

I am tired… that is all!

Thank you all for reading and following along with me.  I hope you have the best day!! See you back here on Friday!
