**What’s Up Wednesday!!** {7.29.2020}

Happy Wednesday!! It’s the last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I share a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us lately. I can’t believe July is already almost over. Here comes Fall!! Eeeek!

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: Cubed Steak, Corn on the Cobb from the garden, fried green tomatoes, sweet potatoes, mac n’ cheese

Monday: Spaghetti

Tuesday: Chicken Enchiladas with Rice and Refried beans and lots of toppings- salsa, sour cream, etc… I don’t like a red sauce on my enchiladas, so if you’re like me and are interested in the recipe, message me. I have a family friend’s recipe, and it’s amazing! They are delicious! You won’t regret it.

Wednesday: Sesame Chicken with fried rice

Thursday: Leftover Chicken Enchiladas

Friday: Kitchen’s closed! Date Night!

Saturday: Kitchen’s Closed!

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

This memory popped up from last July 4th when we went to the Braves game. I remember it was so HOT! It’s funny how this year, they are just now starting to play their shortened season.

This memory was from 4 years ago when Caroline and I went to the beach both preggo with our sweet girls.

This was from 5 years ago… Wow how time flies and so much can change in 5 short years.

3. What I’m Loving:

Wool Balls in my dryer. Do you guys use these? With over 26,000 reviews, you know they’ve got to be good. I just add some Essential Oils, I usually add Lavender, and they smell awesome! Plus, I don’t like all those harsh chemicals in dryer sheets. 🙂

I am loving this floor cleaner! I ordered this floor cleaner for my hardwood floors from Amazon. It smells amazing and does a great job. It doesn’t leave any marks or sticky residue.

I’m loving my new planner! I always love to start a new school year with a brand new planner. I love writing all my meetings/events in it. I love color-coding all the things. It just makes me happy!

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

We have been soaking up our summer days. They always go by so fast.

We have enjoyed lots of ice cream. 😉

We went on a fun, little getaway at the beginning of the month. Part I is here. Part II is here

I’ve been working on lots of school stuff in preparation for the new school year. This week is our pre-planning, so students will arrive starting Monday. This was last week one day just getting started.

Caroline and Britney came up last week for some great, quality girl time. I always love when I can get together with my girls. 🙂

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m dreading not having lazy, slow days at home. I know I’ll miss all of our time together these past few months.

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on school work and this blog post….

Here’s a pic of my classroom now. I’m starting to get there.

7. What I’m Excited About:

Although I’m sad about not getting to be home with Addison, I’m excited to see my students and get back into a routine.

I’m excited about Addison starting her 3 year old class at school. I know she’s going to do wonderful and love it! Here are some pics from last week’s Open House when I had to go solo.

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I’ve been watching Schitt’s Creek on Netflix. I just love their humor. David is definitely my favorite. I usually only watch it on my phone while I’m getting ready.

After Addison goes to bed, Joey and I have been enjoying our little “date” time to watch Yellowstone. It’s definitely thrilling and very mature- not good for the kids to watch.

I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted because I was so busy studying for my certification exam. Luckily I passed, yay, I did finish one book and am working my way through another cute chick-lit.

I finished 28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand. She is one of my favorite authors, and this book didn’t disappoint. I loved it! Okay, so I loved it in the fictional sense. Obviously, if this was real life it would not be good. These two people, who meet one summer, end up making a pact to meet up the same weekend every year. It goes back and forth between their ever changing lives. It was so well written and I couldn’t recommend it enough. So good!

I’m currently reading Beach ReadI’m only about halfway in. So far, it’s cute, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be predictable, but I’m enjoying it so far.

9. What I’m Listening To:

I have been listening to Netflix while getting ready.

10. What I’m Wearing:

I’ve been wearing these shorts, this shirt, and undershirt from the Loft. These shorts are so comfy. I love the stretch waistband. Elastic is my friend. 😉 Loft has been having some awesome sales lately, so check them out!

Shirt / Shorts / Miller Sandals / Rainbow Wood Bead Necklace

Same outfit as above. Here’s the Sims necklace below. I love this necklace and wear it all the time. I have it in the turquoise and ivory. 😉

Sims Necklace

These shorts are so cute and comfy! I ordered them in Black and Natural White. Old Navy typically has a coupon code, so be on the lookout. 🙂

I ordered this Kimono and tank from the Loft. The pants are from the Loft too, but they are a few years old. Here is a pair that they have right now that are very similar.

Kimono / Tank / Navy Chinos / Miller Sandals

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

I am not sure what we are doing this weekend. We may continue working on the pole barn/shed. We will probably be taking it easy because Addison starts school and students begin with me on Monday.

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with school. And all the goodies on the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. 😉

13. What Else is New:

This meme was hilarious. Addison has been trying to come into our bed during the night. She claims she’s scared. So, it’s always a challenge to try to tiptoe out of her room and then hope during the night, she doesn’t wake up and come tiptoeing into our room. Haha!

Thank you all for reading. I truly am thankful for all of you! I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!

xoxo

I’m always so thrown by how early some of our fellow bloggers start back to school! We don’t start classes for another month (of course you get out much earlier!). I hope it all goes well for you and your daughter this school year.

What Joanne said above! We just got out on June 26th so we don’t start back until September 8th. I hope your return to school goes well.

And I’m so excited that baseball is back!!! Whooo hooo!!! Even though I will miss going to games this year…
