**Weekend Recap** {7.27.2020}

Happy Monday!! By the time you’re reading this, I’m probably back in my classroom trying to get it ready for students.

We had a good weekend but it was full of hard work- at least for Joey and the other guys.

***********************************************

Last Thursday, my bestie, Caroline came up to stay for a little reprieve. Our friend Brit also came up for the day. We enjoyed some pool time, lots of great girl conversations, and some Netflix binging. Friday, Caroline and I got up and we all went for a Trader Joe’s run and to lunch with Mable (Mama).

Friday evening and Saturday most of the day, Joey, his Dad, my Dad, and his brother came over to work on putting up our pole barn/building. It was very hard work and very HOT!! Mom and I jumped in to help when they needed it. We weren’t a lot of help, most of the time we felt like we were just in the way.

They still have a couple more sections to put up, but they got so much done in just a day and a couple hours.

While they worked, we made them lunch and then some homemade Butter Pecan ice cream.

Saturday evening, Joey was so exhausted. We just ran into town to eat and sat on the patio. While we were there, it came up a thunderstorm and the wind was blowing really hard. The roof had tin on it, so Addison was not liking the loud noise. It was quite humorous. It finally blew over, and we watched some Braves baseball while we ate.

Sunday, we just lazed around. I got things ready for the week/school. I worked on this blog post and did some laundry. Addison jumped in the pool for a little while. We really just took it easy.

We had an early morning wake up call, so we attempted to go to bed early last night. It will be hard to get back into the routine of going to bed early and waking up early. I hope you guys have a wonderful start to the week, and I will see you back here on Wednesday for What’s up Wednesday. 🙂

xoxo
