**Girls Lake Weekend Getaway** {8.24.2020}

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had a great weekend! This was Addison early Friday morning. It was Pajama day at school. 😉

We ended up going on an impromptu girls trip to the lake house. We decided that we were going to go about 12 noon Friday. So, I left work right at 3, ran to get Addison, ran home to pack, picked up my Mom, Aunt and cousin, and we headed West toward the lake house.

When we got there, we ordered in Mexican food. Then, the girls ran around in the yard. They were super excited!! The adult ladies celebrated too with some Margs and Wine. 😉

We were up bright and early at 6:30. Right when the girls got up, they were asking if they could get in the lake…. Too early girls.

We enjoyed our breakfast on the deck.

We ran to one of our favorite little boutiques in town. The girls were so good. They waited so patiently for us. Haha!

We bribed them with Icee’s. Jen and I shared this monstrosity. Holy messy!

We hurried back to the house, grabbed some snacks, and jumped on the boat.

We enjoyed our little cruise.

We got back to the house and Papa Darby and Jojo were there. They were fishing. The girls jumped on the mat and had so much fun!

We just baked some chicken and had veggies with pasta salad for dinner. We went for a walk after dinner. The sky was so pretty! A storm was rolling in.

Unfortunately, the rain caught us… We had to make a run for it. We put the girls in for a bubble bath. They said it was the highlight of the trip. Hahaha!

Since the rain ran out our fire pit and smores plan, we had to improvise by heating them in the microwave.

We all went to bed pretty early. We were worn out. The next morning, we enjoyed a little more dock sitting before we had to pack up to head back home.

We got back home around 3. I started in on laundry and getting everything ready for the week. We ran and grabbed a bite to eat. I worked on some school work and this blog post. We put Addison to bed and Joey and I settled in for a date night of Yellowstone watching. 🙂
