**What’s Up Wednesday** August 2020 Edition {8.26.2020}

Happy Wednesday!! It’s the last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I share a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us lately. I can’t believe we have been in school a month! Wow!!

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: Out to Eat!

Monday: Marie’s Homemade Meatballs, Fried Okra, Green Beans, Brown Rice

Tuesday: Pork sandwiches, Mac n’ cheese, baked beans

Wednesday: Chicken Nachos

Thursday: Leftover Meatballs

Friday: Leftover Chicken Nachos 

Saturday: Kitchen’s Closed

2. What I’m Reminiscing About: 

This memory popped up from 2 years ago…. Look at how adorable and little they were. They grow up way too fast! 🙁

This was their first day back together for “school”. 

Look at these hot babes from way back in 2011 when we went on a girl’s trip to Hilton Head Island. Ha! We also went on this trip with some great friends we had met in Europe @jk_farmhouselove. I have so many pictures of memories with Caroline. I love doing life with friends. 

This was from 10 years ago when I went to the Braves game with my then roomie. 🙂

3. What I’m Loving:

Most parents and community members have been so awesome and giving for us teachers. We have had doughnuts and lots of goodie bags. Today, we are actually having our lunch catered. I’m just so humbled and appreciative of people caring so much. 

I’m still loving this sunscreen! I was able to snag some from the Anniversary sale and was so excited! 🙂

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

This past weekend we went on a little impromptu girl’s getaway to the lake house. If you missed it, check it out here. 

We have been doing all things school. I can’t believe we have almost been back face-to-face for a month. This was Addison on PJ day last Friday. 

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉 

 

6. What I’m Working On: 

I need to be working on getting our camper ready and prepared for our two upcoming camping trips next month. I will be doing that this weekend. 

7. What I’m Excited About: 

I am very excited about Fall… I can’t wait to get out my decorations and drink/eat all things apple and spice. 😉

I’m also very excited about our two trips next month! 

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

Joey and I are still watching Yellowstone. So, I should preface, it’s very mature, definitely not a show for the kids. There is lots of violence and bad language, and even some nudity. However, the content of the show is great, even if I have to turn my head away sometimes. 

Still watching Schitt’s Creek. I’m almost through Season 5. Still loving David and loving Alexis more and more with every episode. 

I’ve started watching this….. —-> Busch family Brewed. Anyone else? It’s a little bit of crazy, but I love it! 

Does anyone have any recommendations for me on what I should watch next? 

My latest book that I just finished reading was Beach Read. It was very predictable and super cute. Classic chick-lit. I very much enjoyed it. I needed a feel-good book. 🙂

My current book is The Lies that Bind by Emily Giffin. It’s good so far. I am about halfway through, and I’m starting to get into the really good, thrilling part. Eeeek… I can’t put it down. 

9. What I’m Listening To: 

I have been listening to relaxing, soothing music on Alexa and on Amazon/YouTube. I need as much soothing/calming as possible. 

10. What I’m Wearing: 

I just got this sweatshirt from a boutique, but they have the same one on Amazon! It’s amazing quality, so soft, and perfect for lounging around the house or for dressing up for date night. It will be perfect for sitting by the fire this fall or hopefully going to the pumpkin patch. 🙂

I finally got my items in from the Anniversary Sale. Woohoo!! Today, I’m going to share those with you! 🙂

This bra and these undies are always a favorite! I always grab them during the Anniversary sale. I’ve worn them for years, and they’re super comfy!

This sweater is so warm and cozy. It is super soft. It’s cashmere and such a great price! 

These grey jeans were definitely on my radar this year! First off, Wit and Wisdom are my favorite jeans ever! When I saw this cute, grey color, I knew I had to get some. I LOVE the Absolution technology. It sucks you in in all the right places. 😉

A Barefoot Dreams Cardigan, also known as a Blardigan, is ALWAYS a must-have, must-buy! If you buy nothing else, buy one of these! They are amazing! They are so super soft! They are wonderful for dressing up or just lounging around in. They are perfect for gifts! I just can’t say enough about them! Go buy one now!!

Blardigan / grey jeans / black booties 

I have been eyeing these Sorel booties for a while. I didn’t really want to fork out $200 on some booties that I didn’t even know that I would like. But guess what, I LOVE them! They are so cute!!  And… I didn’t even have to dish out that amount of money. They were on sale for under $125. The wedge heel is super comfy! They are waterproof and will be perfect for cooler/cold, wet weather. So happy with this purchase!

Anyone else love stripes? I always tend to to move towards stripes. Ha! This shirt is a perfect “neutral” to throw in my rotation.

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend: 

We don’t have a lot planned… we will probably be working on cleaning/organizing the camper. I also need to clean the house. Why is it it always becomes such a disaster during the week…And don’t even get me started on laundry. #sigh

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

I’m looking forward to our breaks next month.  

I’m hopeful we will be able to go to the apple orchard at some point next month too! 

13. What Else is New:

This is so me right now… Haha!
