Christmas Vacation

**Winter Break Recap** {1.7.2026}

Hey Friends!! Happy New Year!! Happy 2026!!!

Whew! We had a great, busy break! To say it was restful would not really be true, but so many memories were made.

Today, I’m sharing part of our break which includes our Christmas recap. This is mostly to help document this time for me, but I’m also sharing it with you all! Settle in.

Saturday, December 20th, we got up early, got dressed up in fancy clothes and headed to the Fox Theater! We were all so excited!!

We were heading to see Elf!

It was so fun! We loved the dancing, and the singing. Addison sang along, and we just all had the best time!

Sunday morning, we were up early and heading to church.

Sunday evening, we had our first Christmas gathering at Joey’s Dads.

The girls were ready to open presents immediately. Joey was up to his silly shenanigans as usual.

The girls were playing it safe with safety goggles with the BB gun.

We had a great time and loved this time with family!

Monday, I had to go for an echocardiogram. Mom and Addison went with me.

Afterward, we did some shopping and grabbing some sweet treats for Christmas dinner at the bakery. So hard to choose! Yum!

Monday afternoon, I went with my Dad to pick my Aunt Linda up from the airport. If you have ever been to the Atlanta airport, you know it’s no easy feat. Thankfully, it wasn’t too awful, and we were able to get her and get back home.

Monday evening, we met up with the Diamonds to look at Christmas lights.

This special neighborhood has been featured on the Great Light Show Fight and people come from all around.

We had so much fun and lots of laughs looking at every house. Luckily the weather cooperated for us to ride in the back of the truck.

Tuesday, Milo got a groom. He looked so handsome.

Tuesday night was Christmas at my parents.

Mom made a delicious meal, and we had the amazing bakery treats for dessert.

Addison wanted to dress as Cindy Lou Who. Ha!

I obliged.

Love that Aunt Linda could join us this year.

It was a special year.

Christmas Eve, Joey went to run and workout early. I got up to this.

I had to make different food that day for our gatherings that night.

Our first stop for the evening was Joey’s Granny’s house. The weather was crazy and so warm. It did not feel like Christmas.

The girls loved it and enjoyed climbing the trees. 🙂

We left Granny’s house and headed to my Papa’s house.

We played lots of fun games!

And then we were off to head home.

Santa came!

She was so excited!!

And so was Milo. 😉

We invited all the family over for Christmas breakfast. It’s tradition!

I got everything cleaned up and made some more food- which is typical for all the gatherings.

I feel like all I do is cook and wash dishes.

We headed to Joey’s Mom’s house for Christmas that afternoon.

The girls helped Emma do some scratch offs.

After playing games and eating way too much food, we headed back home to finally do our Christmas.

I really did enjoy doing it like this. I felt like we were a lot less rushed and could just relax, play and watch Christmas movies.

What a wonderful time celebrating Jesus’ birthday!

There is mess everywhere, but it is a magical time.

Even Milo was relaxed.

Friday mid-day, Addison and I headed out to see Joey’s F3 friends. They were doing a Big Mac race for the 4 people who lost the fantasy football draw.

I was about to get sick just watching… some people had to eat 1, then 2, then 3, and one poor guy had to eat 4 Big Macs and run a lap in between. Only because they were the losers. I felt sorry for them. I couldn’t have done it. But we cheered them on just the same.

We didn’t see anyone actively get sick, but I think it probably happened after leaving.

After we cleaned up and left, we headed to The Mill to do some shopping with Aunt Linda, Mom & Dad.

Saturday, I met Britney and Caroline for lunch at Gianni & Macs. It was delicious!

I loved meeting up and catching up! I miss these girls!

I hit up Starbucks on the way back home.

I stopped in to Publix, and they had my favorite popcorn BOGO! I LOVE the purple bag! It’s absolutely my favorite!!! I could eat the whole bag in one sitting, and I have to force myself to stop.

I snapped a pic of Milo one morning. Even though I don’t like him at the table, he was cute!

Monday, I met up with some girls for lunch and to see The Housemaid. It was good!!! A little different from the book, a little cringy at times, but great!

We headed out in search of Addison some new booties.

She was begging for these heels… Mom & I were cracking up!

Mom & Dad got Addison this dance game for Christmas. I set it up, and we were dying laughing. I did it with her, and I will say, I smoked her! lol

New Year’s Eve, we went with the Diamonds to see David!

Have you seen it? We loved it!

She had went to see Zootopia 2 with Penny at the beginning of break, so she wanted to get a pic with this poster too.

We picked up some pizzas and invited everyone to our house for some food and fireworks time!

The kiddos also wanted to do smores. Of course we allowed it!

They came inside some, and they had some dance offs.

So much fun ringing in the new year!

Mom & Addison worked on their dance moves. We were all laughing so hard!

And that brings us mostly up-to-date!

We went to Nashville last weekend and had the best time!

I’ll share details from that trip in a later post! I’m glad to be back!

See ya on Friday!

  1. I’m on the look out for a pair of flair jeans. Yours on News Years Eve are cute! Where are they from?
    Thanks!

    1. Thank you!! They are more of a wide leg jean by Mica and unfortunately they are all sold out. I am sharing some wide leg jeans I recently found from Avara & Target, on Friday.
These are my go-to itty bitty boot cut jeans. I have them on with the red sweater.
