** Let’s Look At…. How We Select our Halloween Costumes** {10.12.2022}

Well… I’ve done it again guys…. I made this post for last Wednesday, then I realized that I was wrong on the date. I could have sworn today was the date for the link up. I guess I was wrong again. I’m just going to leave it and when it does really happen, I’ll just add the link then. #sigh

Hey Friends!! How’s everyone today? I cannot believe it’s already time for another Let’s Look Linkup.

I am very excited to be linking up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything and talking about how we pick our Halloween Costumes.

Typically, Addison tells me what she wants to be. Sometimes she doesn’t have an idea, and we go on a search to Party City and/or Spirit Halloween to try to find one she likes. Here we were on Saturday at Party City…. but, spoiler, she didn’t like any of those. So, we are back to searching.

I’ve been looking online. She told me she wants to be a blue witch, so I’m on a search.

Now, I remember when I was growing up, Mom would take me to the craft story- most of the time Walmart, because that was all that was around. We would select the costume for her to make for me. My how the times have changed. Addison would not want me to make a costume… I’m not a seamstress by any means. I can sew on a button, but that’s about the extent of my sewing abilities. I feel like this may have been one of the patterns she used. LOL

Now, I wanted to do a little walk down memory lane at A’s previous year’s costumes.

In 2017, Addison was almost 1. She was Cinderella. We have had a lot of Disney over the years.

In 2018, our little Sunshine was Tinkerbell. My favorite part was her glowing wings.

In 2019, before the Covid days, Addison was Bo Peep from Toy Story. I remember this one clearly because one of the places we went was to visit Joey’s Pop, who was in a Nursing home. The nursing home patients gave out candy. It was the sweetest thing.
One of my favorite work besties and I dressed up that year too. We were Mickey and Minnie.

In 2020, we had a Rapunzel. I remember during that year, she loved this movie and wanted to watch it all the time.

Last year, Addison wanted to be Moana. This movie played on repeat last year. I didn’t mind though because I love Moana too!

Whitley & I dressed up as M&Ms for school.

These are the two costumes she found and had to have when Mom took her to Walmart. The left one she wanted for Trick or Treating, and the right one she wanted for Trunk or Treat.

Purple Witch / Unicorn Witch

That’s all I have to share…. I can’t wait to read about your costume selection!
