**Fall Break Vacation Recap** {10.6.2021}
A few weeks ago, during our Fall Break, Addison and I went with my parents to Florida. Today, I’m sharing all about our trip.
My Aunt Linda, Uncle Dennis, and cousin Kathy live there. We haven’t visited them since pre Covid, so it was good to actually see everybody.
The weather started off pretty yucky. Addison begged my Mom to put some beads in her hair. She, of course, obliged.
That evening, we met my cousin Kathy and my Aunt Linda for dinner to eat seafood. One of my favorite things about the beach.
Giving her the stare as we drive in the truck. All she wanted to do were Snapchat filters.
The next day, we had a short trip to the beach before the rain hit.
Then it was nap time. This girl and her sleep mask crack me up.
And off to dinner for some burgers and Addison had pizza. We stopped by Belk on the way home, and they had the cutest Christmas display. The colors were so bright. Addison loved them.
The next morning, we were up for a little stroll through the mossy trees.
We were able to get in some beach time.
We came back from the beach and got ready for dinner.
We went to eat at an Irish Pub that evening. It was delicious. The owner was so nice and kept giving Addison all the things. A foam finger, sunglasses, Florida Gator coozies, and cookies. My chicken and noodles were delicious!
On Wednesday, we took a ferry, across the river, to visit some friends.
When we arrived over there, the tide was in, so we were able to walk all along the beach and marsh area. We stayed and visited for a while. Then, we headed back over to where we were staying, so little bit could have some beach time.
We got cleaned up and had pizza for dinner with Kathy.
After dinner, we walked around and in some shops on the boardwalk. Addison loved these alligator heads.
The next morning, we walked over to sit at the lake for a few minutes. It was nice to just sit and stare for a bit.
It was the perfect beach day. The humidity was down and it was in the mid 70’s. Perfect. We had so much fun playing in the waves and searching for shells.
That night we went to eat Mexican. We had all the delicious things including this amazing Marg. 😉
We were up early on our last morning and enjoying donuts.
And we wanted to make the most of our last beach day. We soaked it up.
On our last night, we went to get seafood. It was delicious! Addison loved the fish and was making all the silly faces.
That’s it for our trip. We had a great time, and loved being able to soak up the last few days of summer at the beach. See you back here on Friday for the favorites from our week.
