Weekend Recap {8.19.2019} It’s Hot!!!

Wow!! We thought we had a hot summer, it doesn’t even come close to how hot it is now. Just staying outside for a few minutes is miserable. I really do feel for the people who work out in it all day and for my husband.

We had a fun weekend! I’m going to touch on all our fun!

Joey and I had an impromptu date night Friday night. Mom and Dad asked to keep Addison. We were like, sure! So, hence, date night. We ended up at Queenie’s. It was delicious and has such a nice, relaxing environment. I would recommend it if anyone is in the area. We were back home, and I was in my pajamas, snuggled with a book by 9. It was glorious!!

Saturday morning, we were up bright and early despite Addison not being home. I started on all the laundry and cleaning. Joey went to mow grass at the church. He was back by 10, and we headed to pick up Addison and go to look for him a new mower or tractor/mower. We are currently on the fence about which one we really need. He’s leaving the decision up to me (shocking), so who knows what will happen.

We were getting hungry, and it was heating up. We went to eat a snack and stopped by DQ for a sweet treat. #icecreamforthewin

On the way back home, we stopped by Poole’s Mill Park. Even though it was 1,000 degrees, and we were not prepared to walk around in the heat, we had a short, great time!

We enjoyed the covered bridge. The water looked pretty murky.

We headed toward the water/falls… there were a lot of people playing and sliding in the water.

At this point, she was showing signs of needing a nap. So, we headed back to the playground and let her slide a couple times. Then we headed to the truck for the short drive home.

We went out with Joey’s dad and step mom Saturday night. They brought Alyssa, one of the cousins. The girls kept us entertained.

Addison was just staring off thinking….. Alyssa, what are you doing? Haha!

We went out early Sunday morning to play…. before it got hot…. We didn’t last out there long before it was scorching hot!

This one had a good afternoon nap….

We ate with my parents for Sunday supper. Addison had fun playing outside and building roads with blocks and driving trains. Back to work/school tomorrow…. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
