*Weekend Recap* Girls Weekend {10.7.19}
Happy Monday!! We had such a fun weekend!! Addison and I drove down to meet up with some of my besties from college and their girls for a little girl’s getaway at Great Wolf Lodge. It was so much fun!! We loved it, and Addison can’t stop talking about it.

Friday night, we didn’t do a whole lot. Some of Joey’s family was in the hospital, so we went to visit him. We grabbed something quick to eat, and then we went to get some Mums to put on our front porch.
Saturday, we left around lunch to head down to GWL. We got there in the afternoon and just unpacked and waited on everyone to arrive. The Resort was all decorated and so festive for Halloween.
Our room was so nice! It was like we were in the forest in a tent.
Once everyone arrived, we headed down to check out the waterpark. I know I’m dramatic, but I didn’t think it would be so wet. There was water spraying from everywhere. There were huge slides, a soaker playground area, lazy rivers, wave pools, and a kiddie area with small slides.
We stayed in the kiddie area (my speed). We did one lap around the lazy river. It about did us in. The girls LOVED the slides (kiddie size). I bet they went down 30 times. We stayed in there a little over an hour and decided that was good enough. Plus, we were starving. #getinmybelly
We decided to go upstairs to at least put on dry clothes before grabbing something to eat on site. We literally just walked into the room when everything went dark. We were like, who turned out the lights?
Turns out, the whole block was out… We were like, now what? We were starving, so we decided to drive a few minutes to Longhorn’s steakhouse.
Funny story…. When we got to the parking lot, I realized I had parked like 2 miles away. Caroline was close to the front. She had her twins car seat bases in her vehicle, so we couldn’t just sit there to ride. So, we crawled in the back while she drove us to our car in the lot. I was dying laughing…
I kept getting updates from the resort throughout dinner. Thankfully, by the time we left dinner, the power and everything was back up and running.
By the time we got back, we were ready for some ice cream!
We gave it a thumbs up, or at least Addison and Claire did. Haha!!
We headed to a different part of the resort to see what else was going on. The girls were so cute!
We heard music coming from the other side of the fireplace. We realized it was a dance party!! The girls LOVED it!! They were hilarious!!
We got home Sunday afternoon and went to see some of Joey’s family in the hospital. We ate dinner at my Mom and Dad’s with my Papa and Jojo. We had the best weekend!! If you’re near a Great Wolf Lodge, I would definitely recommend it. It’s very family friendly. If you don’t do that then definitely do a girls trip! It’s good for the soul! 😉
