Happy Friday!! I hope you all had an awesome week and was able to get back into the groove of reality. Today is Friday Favorites. It’s the first one of the new year. I’m linking up with Erika,Andrea, and Narci. I am sharing some of my favorite things from the week!! 🙂
I have had a nice week back to school. The students were overall well behaved, just a little chatty. I know I shared with you all I was trying to help strengthen my hair. It was getting too much heat and not enough love. These new products have all come in, and they are definitely becoming a favorite. I can really tell a difference in my hair. It feels much softer and not so broken. I wanted to share all of them with you, especially if you’re looking for some good quality products for your hair. 😉
First, I bought this at Sephora, but here it is on Amazon. The first thing you do is put this on damp hair for 10 minutes. So, I jump in the shower, semi wet my hair, and add this all over. Then, I let it sit for 10 minutes. After that, you rinse it all out and continue with shampooing and conditioning. I’ll get to my new shampoo in a minute.
I ordered this shampoo. It lathers up really nicely and it smells really good. It’s supposed to be great for color treated hair and really hydrating. I like what it’s doing for my hair.
I condition with my conditioner that I’ve been using for years. I still love it and am happy with it. It’s called a Treatment balm, but it’s great on my thick hair. You can order it here.
When I get out of the shower, I try to let it dry for a while in this hair towel to get most of the water out. When I’m ready to dry, I apply a dollop of this Kerastase Resistance Blow-DryPrimer for some extra hydration and to smooth it out and help prevent frizz. I comb it with a wide tooth comb.
I use my Revlon One-Step hair dryer. If you haven’t heard of this dryer, you’ve been living under a rock. It has almost 20,000 4+ reviews. I feel like it smooths everything out and helps to given some volume to my hair while straightening it. I also feel like it dries my hair faster than my regular hair dryer did.
The next morning, I either flat iron my hair (which I got mine from my hair dresser, but if you’re interested in the one I use it’s here on Amazon) or I curl it, using my Hot Tools curling wand. I have had mine for around 10 years, and it still works just as well. I have it in the 1 inch, but it comes in lots of sizes.
Before I use my hot tools, I use a heat protector. I also think these smooth my fly aways. I have been using just this Olaplex no. 7, but sometimes I’ll spray on some of this Bumble and Bumble Hair primer.
When I’m curling my hair, I have a lot of hair, so I’ll diving the top from the bottom. Then, I’ll do about 3-4 sections on the bottom layer. I alternate each curl as I go around my head, starting with curls going away from my face. Then, I’ll lower the top layer and separate it into about 4-5 sections and also alternate the curls.
That’s it… so here’s a picture of the after… I curled it this day.
I got this perfume for Christmas, and it has quickly become a favorite. It has a light, fruity smell. I love it!
Another favorite this week was watching this girl at the furniture stores. We were shopping for a new King size bed and mattress. We had been shopping for about 4 hours. She was doing so good, especially considering it was during her nap time. She definitely kept herself entertained. #diva #hollywood #toyseverywhere
Sunday afternoon we had beautiful weather. We decided to go to the park for a little bike ride and possibly a little playing on the playground. We had a lot of fun, and my bottom was definitely feeling the hills.
This was us being silly eating out Sunday night…
That’s it for today. I hope you all have a great weekend. We don’t have a whole lot planned. I hope it’s low key, and we can just rest. Thank you all for reading! I really am thankful for all of you.
