Happy Monday!! Wow! I had a whirlwind of a weekend. The weather was beautiful!! Loving the sunshine! Unfortunately, rain is back on its way.
My mother n’law, Penny, and sister n’law, Cindy, took the girls to the public library on Friday. It was music therapy. She sent me these pictures, and I couldn’t help but smile at these cuties!
Friday night, we went to grab something quick for dinner. I had some work to do, but enjoyed a nice glass of white while I worked.
Saturday morning, I was up bright and verrrrrrry early, 3:57 am to be exact, to work our county’s job fair. That’s early for a Saturday. We met some great candidates, and I’m excited to see what’s to come of it.
After the job fair I made a Trader Joe’s run. I scarfed down some Peanut Butter crackers as I drove. I got some more faves/goodies.
Saturday night, I guess Joey was feeling sorry for me, so he let me choose what to eat. I picked one of our favorite BBQ restaurants, Thatcher’s. It’s a about 45 minutes away, but it’s worth it. Their brisket is probably the best I’ve ever had. I had brisket, mac n’ cheese, brunswick stew, and fried green tomatoes. Delicious! I even had leftovers to take for lunch this week!
Since I wasn’t home, really at all, on Saturday, I had lots to do to get ready for the week on Sunday. I did ALL the laundry. I had to meal prep, so I made my favorite breakfast muffins, washed/cut-up Addison’s fruit for the week, and Addison and I made some chocolate chip cookies. Shout out to Caroline, over @dramaticinthebestway for the best cookie recipe!! I tidied up, so I could feel semi-accomplished. We made a Target run. Then, I had to work on some school work and this blog post.
After naptime, we walked down to the creek and played around outside.
After dinner, we got our baths/showers and bags ready for the week. We cozied up and got as many snuggles as we could before starting our week. Have a great day, and thank you for reading!!
