**What’s Up Wednesday** {5.27.2020}
It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I’m linking up with the blogs Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I’m sharing a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us lately.Â
1. What We Are Eating This Week:
Welcome to the season of grilling!! 🙂
Sunday: Grilled Ribeyes, baked potato, salad
Monday:Â Grilled Hot Dogs and Chili at my parents + Homemade Ice Cream, Mini Patriotic Fruit Pizzas
Tuesday:Â Leftover Pioneer Woman Baked Ziti from last week
Wednesday: Grilled Pork Chops, Rice Medley, Air Fryer OkraÂ
Thursday: Leftover Pork Chops
Friday:Â Grilled Chicken, Corn on the Cobb, Baked Beans
Saturday:Â Kitchen’s Closed!
2. What I’m Reminiscing About:Â
These memories popped up from 2 years ago when we went to pick strawberries and celebrated Memorial Day. Look at those sweet pig tails.Â
This was last year when we all went to a wine tasting with Joey’s mom. I wish we could go to another one. Hopefully soon.Â
This was my little love last year helping me celebrate Mother’s day.Â
All the last days of school memories kept popping up. Like from last year when my cousin did her Graduation walk at my elementary school, where she attended.Â
And the sweet girls saying peace out school year, Hello Summer!Â
3. What I’m Loving:
I ordered a few products, from Nordstrom, that I’m loving. As always, I love that they have free shipping and free returns!
This product I use as a tinted primer right after my moisturizer. It goes on very smooth and is not heavy at all. Plus it gives a tad bit of color and evens out my skin. A big plus is, it’s SPF 40.
This eye shadow palette came in, and I’m loving it! I love all the colors and how I can easily change up my look.Â
I’m also loving a peaceful drive with some Starbucks.Â
4. What We’ve Been Up To:
Last weekend, we went to visit this little man-made rock garden. It was so intricate and Addison loved it.Â
We loved all the pathways and castles.Â
Can you tell what this is? I’ve been to the real one in Paris.Â
Here’s the Colosseum.Â
Saturday was the first night we have actually eaten in a restaurant since March 12. We ate on the patio, but it was still great! Can you tell there was a lot of humidity in the air? #curls
5. What I’m Dreading:
I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉Â
6. What I’m Working On:Â
I’ve been working on packing and making sure we have everything ready for our upcoming beach trip! I can’t wait to get away and enjoy some salty air and sandy toes.Â
Â
7. What I’m Excited About:Â
See above…. I’m also really excited about finally being done with school! Digital learning and teaching is not for the faint of heart. It was very hard work! My students worked so hard, and I’m super proud of them.Â
8. What I’m Watching/Reading:
I have been watching a whole lot of Netflix lately.Â
I watched all of The Outerbanks. It was good. I definitely enjoyed it!Â
I have also been making my way through Hart of Dixie. It has so many twists and turns, it’s hard to keep up with what’s going on or who is with whom. I am enjoying it, but most of it is far fetched. 🙂
I watched all of Virgin River… It was good. More drama. I enjoyed it. It reminded me a lot of Hallmark.Â
I’ve just started watching the new show, Sweet Magnolias. I hear it’s a book series. It reminds me of Hallmark as well. And I love that it takes place in a small, southern town.Â
I recently finished Twice in a Blue Moon. It was definitely chick-lit. It’s a novel about young love, some heartache, and what happens when the love re-enters your life when you least expect it. The ending was pretty predictable, but I definitely enjoyed it! Super cute and super quick, light read. 🙂
I’m currently reading Hello, Summer by Mary Kay Andrews. I always enjoy reading her books. There’s always some mystery, comedy, and a little bit of love. I can’t wait to see what happens.Â
I have some other books on my to-read this summer list:Â
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey
28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand
Are there any others I need to add?Â
9. What I’m Listening To:Â
I have been listening to a whole lot of Netflix. 😉Â
10. What I’m Wearing:Â
I’ve been wearing these dresses from Wal-Mart. They’re super light weight and very comfortable for the summer. They will also be great to throw on a jean jacket with to transition into the school year. It looks like they’re sold out online, but my local store had a lot in stock.Â
I also picked up these shoes, for the beach, while at Wal-Mart. They’re Birkenstock dupes. They’re perfect for just slipping on. I can’t find the link online, but I got them at my local store. I’ve also seen them at Target too; they just didn’t have my size. Excuse my toes… I need a pedicure.Â
I ordered this shirt from Amazon recently. I feel like it will be perfect for our upcoming trip. It’s super cute, soft, and I love the color.Â
11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:Â
We don’t have anything set in stone. I will probably be doing the usual- laundry and cleaning. But, I will probably throw in some packing and hopefully some pool time.Â
12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
I’m definitely looking forward to our beach trip!!
And hopefully things opening back up a bit more. I need some restaurant time in my life. Haha! #quesoanyone
Plus some slow days laying by the pool.
13. What Else is New:
We have definitely been enjoying our fair share of ice cream around here. 😉
Thank you all for reading. I truly am thankful for all of you! I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!Â
xoxo

Enjoy your beach trip!!! We’re not able to travel in my province yet so we haven’t made any summer plans. Hopefully we’ll be able to go somewhere…
And that rock garden is incredible! I want to visit it!
