**Hello Monday** Spring Break Recap {4.12.2021}
Happy Monday!! We are back at school and now on the countdown to summer… 7 weeks. We have a lot to get covered in these weeks, and will be very busy, but we are happy it’s quickly approaching.
Today, I’m sharing what we did over Spring Break. For the most part, we had beautiful weather. The pollen was just awful. In between doctor’s appointments, we played outside.
My Mom’s birthday was last week. We went out to celebrate and had the best time!
We left around lunchtime on Wednesday and headed camping to Pigeon Forge, TN. The town was very crowded, and that night, we had to wait over an hour to eat. We were hangry and silly.
Thursday, we slept in a little bit. Joey’s Dad “Grandpa” and “Granna” were on their way. So, we spent lots of time on the playground and the jumping pillow. Addison’s favorite part of the whole trip was the playground at the campground. Ha!
The KONA ice truck was on the rounds and of course, Addison had to have one.
We enjoyed lots of laughs while riding her bike.
We played ball and….
Read books.
Then, ended the night with smores by the fire.
Friday morning, we were up early and headed to Dollywood.
Two thumbs up on the carousel.
We rode the train which we always try to do. I felt like the cinders and coals were a little extra potent on this trip.
We rode a few more rides and needed an ice cream break. It was very warm, especially while wearing the mask.
Then, she spotted the face painting booth and decided that she had to have one. She wanted one over riding any more rides. So, we agreed. She was over the moon excited.
We left the park, about an hour before closing, and went to grab a bite to eat. The place we were going to eat said almost a 2 hour wait. No thank you… we ended up heading next door, and they called us within 20 minutes. Thank goodness because it was about to get ugly if I didn’t get some food.
We stopped by the Three Bears General Store on the way back to camp. Lots more laughs while posing. 😉
Saturday was forecasted to rain. It was very cloudy. We decided to head to Gatlinburg, holy crowded, and ended up driving on through to Cade’s Cove. It was an extra long trip with no snacks for us, only Addison. This was my one and only picture while driving through.
By the time we got back to town, we were surely ready for some food. We stopped at the Apple Barn and all ate well. If you’ve never eaten there, I would highly recommend it. The bread/donut rounds they give you right when you get there with apple butter is amazing!! Makes my mouth water just thinking about them.
That’s it for this trip. We had so much fun and loved that Grandpa and Granna were able to come with us too. I hope you all have a wonderful start to your week.

I haven’t been to Dollywood & Pigeon Forge since I was in high school (or maybe even middle school) but I remember having so much fun. Those umbrellas along the path are beautiful!
