**Memorial Weekend Recap** {6.2.2021}

Hey Hey Everybody! Today is my last day of post-planning. As of 3:00 today, I’m done for the summer. Yay!!!

Today, I’m sharing all about our weekend which is only possible because of the brave men & women who fought and sacrificed for our freedoms.

We started off Friday morning saying goodbye to Addison’s school for the summer. We love ya, TCS! See you in August!

Then, we had an emotional goodbye to all the kiddos for the summer. The bus send-0ff gets me every time.

Addison spent the night with Joey’s Dad Friday night. So, Saturday morning, Joey and I ran to Costco and to the grocery store sans child. It was nice, even though Joey is kind of like a child when we go shopping. Ha! #justletmedomything

We picked up Addison around lunch and surprised her with a trip to the Circus/Fair. She had a blast!

She enjoyed the pony ride.

Sweet cousins

Her favorite thing was probably the slide.

My Aunt/Uncle’s company was one of the sponsor’s, so we had to get a picture in front of their sign.

Lots of cotton candy…. this picture, my friends, is what they call foreshadowing

We got some dinner at Chili’s afterwards. Addison wanted a pic with her Mama. 😉

Sunday morning, Addison woke up with a bad rash all over her body. So, we started on the Benadryl. We think it was all the Cotton Candy (red dye) she ate at the fair but we aren’t sure. 🙁

Monday, we tried to take it easy. She was still getting over the hives/rash. Poor girl, it got so bad, we had to take her to urgent care.

We had some coloring time.

I made cute sliders for Memorial Day.

That’s it for our weekend. More low-key than usual but perfect just the same.

Today, we are celebrating my Papa’s 91st birthday! I will be back here on Friday for our favorites. 🙂

    SO sorry you had to end up in urgent care! The fair looks like it was a lot of fun and I just adore that photo of the cousins holding hands. What a great capture.
