**Girls Trip Recap Nashville** {12.1.2021}

A few weekends ago, I headed out with some of my favorite girls to Music City. This is a trip we plan for every year, and I always look forward to it. We picked Nashville because of the history and all the things there are to do. I packed my boots and was ready to go.

Unfortunately, one of our girls couldn’t make it. We definitely missed her but tried to still have fun.

We arrived late Friday night and tried to figure out where to park for the hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt Centric right downtown and really liked it. We sat at Valet for about 15 minutes and nobody ever showed up, so we ended up in a parking garage nearby. We were a sight walking all our luggage and things down Broadway. Ha! We threw our things in our room and headed back out to go grab some food.

We had reservations to eat at Merchant’s, and I would highly recommend it. Right downtown on Broadway. We could do some serious people watching and everything we ate was delicious! We started with Spinach & Artichoke dip, I had a delicious “Tennessee Mojito” and a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The Ranch was so amazing, we all professed that we could have drank it.

And then on the walk back to the hotel, this cracked us up.

The next morning, we were up early and headed to visit the Gaylord Opryland Resort. It’s always so beautifully decorated at Christmas.

I tried to get a picture of the reindeer in between the slats. You can kind of see them in there.

I just love the inside of the Resort anytime, but it is especially beautiful at Christmas.

I didn’t want to just get a selfie, so I asked this random lady for a picture. She was a little demanding in how she wanted us to stand. Haha!

We left the resort and headed to get some lunch at Miranda Lambert’s restaurant, Casa Rosa. I loved all the decorations and the atmosphere. So fun! And, if you’ve read my blog for a while, or you know me, you know that Miranda is one of my favorite singers. I will show you a throwback below.

After feasting on some Tex Mex, we decided to just walk around and explore the downtown area. We checked out the Ryman and some other landmarks.

We signed up for a bus tour to see some celebrity homes. It was fun, but honestly, I would have rather visited the Country Music Hall of Fame. Oh well, next time. It was nice to sit in a warm bus though.

After the tour, we were exhausted. We went back to the room for a bit to rest before our dinner reservations at Southern Steak & Oyster. It was also delicious! We had Brussels Sprouts to start and then I ordered Filet with Collard Greens. My most favorite thing was the Blackberry Mountain Tea to drink. Amazing! That Blackberry Moonshine will sneak up on you. 😉

After dinner, we walked around a bit and then headed back to the hotel to get warm. I read some and we were off to bed.

The next morning, we had an early spa appointment. Ahhhh…… so relaxing. A nice way to finish our trip.

That’s it. We had such a great time and were so happy to have this time together. I would recommend having a girl’s getaway at least once a year. They’re good for the soul.
