**Weekend Recap** Concert & Birthday Celebration {1.19.2022}
Happy Wednesday!! We had such a good, long, relaxing weekend. I hope you all did too. Today, I’m recapping what all we did.
Friday night, we just hung out at home and were in bed by 9. Great night to me! Saturday morning, Addison was up at 6:15. No sleeping in around here. I got right to work cleaning and doing laundry. At one point, I caught her in her room, dressed up as Anna, from Frozen, and reading.
At one point, I stopped cleaning and ran to pick up a Monogrammed shirt I had made to match her Matilda Jane pants. Then headed back home.
While working on some things, I caught her in her room, dressed up as Anna, from Frozen, and reading.
We bought tickets for Reba in January of 2020 for the concert in May 2020. Then, Covid hit. Ugh! They rescheduled for 2021, but rescheduled again for January 2022. So, Saturday, it finally happened.
There were six of us. We stopped to eat some delicious Tin Lizzy’s on the way. We had a fun meal and were ready to belt out some Reba!
Here are all of the ladies with Reba!
We had great seats! Like I was shocked and didn’t remember getting such good seats when I ordered. We definitely lost our voices from singing and screaming so loud!
She’s been doing a Vegas show with Brooks and Dunn, and during a song, she announces that they were joining her. The whole audience really thought they were about to enter the stage. But, sadly, it was just virtually.
Such a beautiful song and scene.
Then, she went in for a costume change and came out with “Fancy”. We all went wild! Love singing this song! Such a great concert!
We got out and got home in time to beat the freezing rain and snow that was predicted to come in!
Sunday, we got up and were so excited to celebrate Joey! It was his birthday!! Addison was just excited about the cake! Ha!
It was predicted to snow all day on Sunday. We waited and waited as long as we could. We finally went out and played in what little we could. She was still excited!
We went inside to get warm and she put on a show.
Sunday evening, it finally started snowing harder, and the temperature dropped enough, for it to start sticking a little bit. I know all of you people that get lots of snow are laughing at me right now. But, we like to see it and play in it when we get it.
My Mom cooked Low Country Boil for Joey’s birthday, so we headed over there. I snapped these pictures when we got to their house.
We decided that we thought there might be enough snow for Addison to sled some. She did, and she loved it! I just didn’t prepare and didn’t have her snow suit with her. So, we did what they used to do with me when I was little, threw on about 3 pairs of pants, three shirts, and a jacket. Ha!
After dinner, Joey opened his presents.
We were off school, on Monday, to celebrate MLK Jr day. We took it real easy around here. I cooked potato soup, I worked on the blog, we played games, I read, and we relaxed. It was way too cold to be outside. Thanks for stopping by! Come back on Friday for our favorites from the week.
