**Weekend Recap**{1.24.2022}
Hello, Monday! How is everyone today? How was your weekend? We had a good one, but it was cold. I’m sharing what we were up to this weekend.
Friday was the 100th day of school. Addison dressed like a 100 year old. Cutest one I’ve ever seen. Thursday night, she lost a tooth That tooth has been hanging on for over a month, so she was excited.
Friday night, I had plans to go with the girls to see Redeeming Love. I was so excited! I have read the book 3 times, but it has been about 10 years since I’ve read it. If you haven’t read it, you need to because it’s amazing!
Even though we had just eaten dinner, we had to have some popcorn to share. #wheninrome
We love going to the theater where the reclining seats are. The theater is always very clean, and you can’t beat leaning back and watching the movie. I was trying to think back, but it was my first movie since the shutdown. I think the last movie we saw was in 2019, Frozen 2. Crazy!
The movie was great! I had forgotten some parts, but even so, we all loved it! I would definitely recommend reading the book first if you plan to go watch it. If not, definitely go see it!
Ha! I saw this, and this is so usually me.
Saturday morning around here was the usual cleaning, laundry and organizing. The sun was out, but it was very deceiving. It was still in the 30s, so no going outside for us.
Before dinner, we headed out to let Addison spend her tooth fairy money at the toy store. She didn’t have much, but finally settled on a fudge heart.
We were finally able to take Joey out for his birthday! We went to Stoney River, and it was delicious! Addison was a huge fan of the rolls, and what can I say, I always am. 😉
We started with a wedge to share. It was delicious!
I got chicken in a lemon caper sauce with mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Amazing!
Joey got Prime Rib with Creamed spinach. The steaks are always so tender.
A. loaded up on extra carbs with Mac n’ Cheese & French fries.
Yay! Love celebrating him! It’s our 11th year celebrating his birthday together!
Sunday, we got up and started getting ready for church. Addison told me her stomach was hurting, but I just figured she was hungry. She ate a little and continued to complain of her tummy. All through church, she just kind of laid on me and wasn’t her usual self.
On the way home, she says “Mommy, I’m going to throw up”. Joey couldn’t get pulled over in time and she did twice before he got stopped. Then, she threw up more. Poor baby girl.
We were able to get her cleaned up and stripped down as best we could for the drive home. I threw her in the bath and Joey took care of the truck and car seat. She said she felt better and laid down to nap. So, hopefully it was just something she ate, and it’s over.
Our sweet sunshine was looking a lot perkier after her nap. 🙂
That is it for my weekend recap. I hope you’re having a great start to your week! Come back on Wednesday! I’m sharing a lot of things you could wear in preparation and/or for Valentine’s Day.

I’m chuckling over here as 30 is when it warms up enough for us to go outside!… but I totally get it as I really only feel that way in the middle of winter otherwise 30 is COLD. Sounds like a delicious birthday celebration and thanks for the book recommendation.
