**What’s Up Wednesday** {10.26.2022}
Hey Hey Friends!! It’s the last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I am sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.
Grab your coffee, tea, cider, or whatever you’re sipping on and settle in. 🙂
1. What We Are Eating This Week:
Sunday: Mom cooked meatloaf, macaroni n’ cheese, field peas and snaps, zucchini squash
Monday: Roast, mashed potatoes, green beans
Tuesday: White Chicken Chili
Wednesday: Lasagna
Thursday: Leftover Roast, etc…
Friday: Leftover Chili
Saturday: Kitchen’s closed!
2. What I’m Reminiscing About:
So many sweet memories popped up on my feed this month from all the fun Fall activities. These were all from 2019 when we went to Great Wolf Lodge with my besties and their girls. We need to do this again! So much fun! And my little pumpkin head.
Here we are in 2019 at the fair and pumpkin farm. She was so stinkin’ squishy.
Here we all are in 2020. The year of Covid.
Last year we went to a different pumpkin patch with the family.
Last year, my Dad and Joey went out west to Colorado. Aunt Dot, Mom and I went to Pigeon Forge and to Dollywood. We had so much fun, and I can’t believe it’s been a year. We need to do this again!
3. What I’m Loving:
I’m love, love, loving this Fall weather! We have loved being outside and doing all the things! It’s been perfect!
We are still loving our little Halloween tree. We just put it on the timer mode and it does its thing.
I’m still LOVING these Victoria Emerson dainty necklaces! Have you had a chance to snag some for you or as presents? They’d be perfect for birthdays or Christmas!
Letter Pendant / Cross Pendant / Heart Pendant / Star Pendant / Anchor Pendant
4. What We’ve Been Up To:
Oh my goodness!! All the Fall things! We have been packing it all in! I think we have checked off everything on our Bucket Lists.
We started the month off at the Apple Orchard.
We had so much fun at our county fair!
We had so much fun in my little, college town at the Gold Rush Festival.
Addison and I had so much fun on her field trip having special Mama/Daughter time!
5. What I’m Dreading:
I’m not really dreading anything right now, but I am sad how fast this fun time of the year is flying by.
6. What I’m Working On:
I’m working on this blog post as well as some school work.
7. What I’m Excited About:
Next month, we have a bunch of fun things planned. One thing in particular is another girl’s weekend. I saw this meme on someone’s social media, and it made me spit my drink out. It’s going to be us…. haahahaha!
And I’m super excited about Starbuck’s Christmas coffees! My favorite is the Caramel Brulee Latte, and I’m ready for one!
8. What I’m Watching/Reading:
I’ve been watching a bunch of random movies and shows on Amazon Prime and Netflix. Nothing really exciting. I want to start watching From Scratch on Netflix. I’ve heard nothing but great things, but I haven’t started it yet. Have you watched it?
Also, I have already started on my Hallmark Christmas Movies Countdown!!! Eeeek! It makes me so happy!
Oh my goodness!! Have you read Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover? She has quickly become a favorite author! I seriously read this book in like 4 days, and that very rarely happens with me. It was so raw and made me hurt so much for this Mother. Trust me, you need to read it! Here’s what Amazon had to say….
After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.
The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.
The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.
I am currently reading Ugly Love also by Colleen Hoover. I told you I’m in a groove. This one flips back and forth between the past and present. There’ s a lot of raw emotions and very deep topics. Here’s Amazon’s synopsis…
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn’t think it’s love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
9. What I’m Listening To:
I’m listening to Pandora right now. It’s a Miranda Lambert station. I’m enjoying it. 🙂
10. What I’m Wearing:
Ha! I saw this meme, and it’s very true! 😉 Anyone else?
How cute is this dress? It comes in lots of color options, but I love it in the Rust color for the Fall! Throw on a jean jacket or cardigan, and you’re good to go! Right now, you can save an extra 10% at checkout when you clip the coupon.
I am also loving this dress. There are a lot of pretty colors, but I’m leaning toward the black. The ruffle and puffed sleeves are so adorable, and I love the length! I’m all about some midi length dresses these days!
I’m still wearing these Side Split Booties on repeat! I did have to wear a bandaid for the first day to help wear them in, but now they’re good to go!
11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:
Friday night we have Christmas dance recital practice. On Saturday, our plan is to go to the pumpkin farm. Hopefully we can make that happen!
As far as the rest of the weekend, I’m not sure.
12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
Next month, I’m excited about Thanksgiving and lots of fun family events. I’m also excited about our girl’s getaway weekend!
13. Favorite Amazon Find:
I’m still using my wireless keyboard and mouse everyday! I love the colors and the bubble keys!
14. What Else Is New:
Thank you all for reading. I am so thankful for all of you! I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!
