**Hello Monday** {8.14.2023}
Friday, we celebrated the teachers with August birthdays with a sweet treat at lunch.
Friday night, we had a pretty chill night at home and were in the bed before 9:30. Glorious!
The next morning, we were up early. Joey & Addison were participating in the Chick fil-A Moo’ve it 5k. I was just there to support. Haha!
Our friend’s Colin & Blaine were also running. Whitley and I were just going to chat, catch up and walk around the booths. There were over 2,000 runners there! So crowded and so drenching humid already at 8 in the morning.
And, then the runners were done! So proud of them!
Blaine and Addison decided they needed a treat. It was super hot!
We walked around for a little bit, grabbed a few free things we didn’t need and headed home. We stopped by and grabbed me a loaded tea for the day and a dry one for Monday! 😉
Once we got home, I started some laundry, cleaning, and used our last bit of fresh zucchini for zucchini bread and muffins.
Joey worked on some things outside. We are adding an accent wall to our patio to mount a TV on at some point.
Saturday afternoon, we headed to town to run some errands then grab a bite to eat.
Mexican food and queso for the win! Always!
There were storms rolling into the area. We drove up on a neighboring mountain to check out the view. So beautiful up here.
Sunday, we had a lazy morning. Joey headed off to church. Addison and I went with Mom over to Aunt Dot’s pool. It was already scorching hot even by 11:00. Addison was one happy girl.
And this made me giggle. So true!
