**What’s up Wednesday** {9.27.2023}

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. Today, I’m linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post. 

Settle in friends because this one is a long one. 🙂

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday night we had lunch on the grounds after church, so that night we just snacked. 

Sunday: What I cooked for Church: Chili with Toppings, Caramel Apple Cake, Hashbrown Casserole

Monday: Chicken strips in Air Fryer ( I just sprayed with Olive Oil spray and sprinkled some panko bread crumbs on), leftover Hash Brown Casserole, Green Beans

Tuesday: Leftover Chili with Grilled Cheese 

Wednesday: Leftover Chicken and sides 

Thursday: Beef Tacos

Friday: Out to eat to celebrate Joey’s Mom’s birthday!! 

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed! 

2. What I’m Reminiscing About: 

All these beach and Fall memories are giving me all the feels. We always have a week off in September, so we have taken lots of vacations during this time. 

These were from 2017. Our first family trip to our favorite Apple Farm & Orchard. 

These were from 2018 when we went to Disney. So hot but very magical. 

 2019 at the Apple Orchard. Addison’s silly personality was starting to come out. 

She truly does love life! 

We also went to the beach in 2019. 

And here is 2020. When things were weird. 

Here we are back in 2021. 

And here’s from last year, 2022.

3. What I’m Loving:

My favorite Fall Candle! – Spiced Cider Capri Blue

If you know, you know. They’re the best! 

And, I’m loving all the sweet Fall craft mementos. 

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

We started off the month with a last pool day over Labor day weekend. 

The girls celebrated Grandparent’s day with a wonderful breakfast with all. 

We had a great time at the Apple Orchard. 

We had a great time at our School Spirit night. 

We had a fun time at Riverfest. 

We are really enjoying our outside patio and loving sitting outside.

And, we had a great week at the beach last week! I will share more on our vacation in a later post. 🙂

We got to see and visit with some family which was great. 

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉  Just hoping that school slows down. It’s very busy right now and so stressful. 

 

6. What I’m Working On: 

I’m working on so many school things- schedules, teacher requirements, student needs, etc… 

 

7. What I’m Excited About: 

I am really excited about all the fun Fall things we have planned next month.

And, I’m meeting up with some girlfriends this weekend and excited to catch up! 

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

It’s been a lacking month for books & tv watching. So busy… And, I started a book at the beginning of this month, I didn’t want to be a quitter. However, I was not enjoying it AT ALL. So, I finally quit and started reading a much better book. 

I haven’t finished Things We Leave Unfinished. However, I’m 3/4 finished, and it’s so good! I wish I had more time to read! It’s a huge hit on Tik Tok, and I would definitely recommend it! 

And, I’d like to start watching the latest season of Virgin River. However, I haven’t gotten around to that either. I’ve heard the newest season is better than the last one. 

And, I’d love to watch the newest season of the Murdaugh murders on Netflix. 

9. What I’m Listening To: 

Not a thing at the moment. 

10. What I’m Wearing: 

I have a lot of Fall items to share with you all! 

I got so many compliments from this top! I love all the colors, and the style. The sleeves are darling and have little cut-outs that make it more unique. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before. And, of course, I still love my YMI pants. I have these in so many colors and wear them all the time to school. You can dress them up or dress them down, and they’re so stretchy and comfortable.

Ya’ll… this top is just darling! I love the style, I love the mixed media sleeves, and I love the fit! I have them on with my  Black Wit & Wisdom Jeans, but you could easily do the YMIs! 

I just got these Dolce Vita Heeled Mules in, and I’m in love! They’re so stylish! I love the braid on top, and they’re very comfortable!

Look how cute this sweatshirt is! I love how comfortable it is, and I love the Exposed seam and raw hem! I will say it is on the thinner side even though they list it as a sweatshirt. The color is rightupmyaliway. 😉 

I also paired it with my Vuori joggers, always a favorite, and felt like I was ready to snuggle up with a book.

This shirt is an oldie but a goodie from Madewell. Unfortunately it’s no longer in stock. However, I still love my itty Bitty Bootcut Jeans! I’m wearing them with my new flat mules, and they were perfect!

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

All the Fall things and cooler temps! 

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

I know I raved about the Kitchen Mama Portable Can Opener last month, but it deserves another highlight. I feel like everyone needs one of these in their lives! 

I also just ordered these clear plastic jars, and they’ve been great for storing all my tea flavors! They come with labels, so they’ve been perfect!
