**Hello Monday** {1.29.2024}
Friday, we (Joy Club) had planned a Hot Cocoa bar for the teachers as a little treat. It went off very well, despite it being unseasonably warm that day. Can’t predict the weather.
Friday night, we went to dinner with Joey’s Mom. Then, it was an early bedtime. Because we were up at 6, on Saturday, for an 8:00 basketball game.
The girls played tough, but we ended up losing. I can’t believe we only have one more regular season game left.
When we got home, I worked on the usual cleaning, laundry and organizing.
My cousin Joe came over to get some of Addison’s clothes. Thankful for the cleanout.
Saturday afternoon, Addison and I headed to see my Papa and Jojo. This cactus is still blooming, and is still gorgeous!
Saturday night, we went to grab some pizza for dinner. Joey and I shared this spinach salad which was delicious!!
After a couple weeks of many nights of little sleep #puppy, I actually slept pretty well Saturday night. I only got up one time around 2:30 to take Milo out. And, I went back to sleep fairly quickly.
Joey got up at 4 and met some guys to run. Me and Milo snuggled for a few more hours and got up around 7.
This sweet surprise when Joey returned was a favorite. He knows the way to my heart. 😉
We all started slowly getting ready for church. The temperatures took another dive, and it was back in the 30s and damp. After being in the 50s and 60s; this hurt a little bit.
Once we got home, I started meal prep for the week and started making dinner. I also went ahead and gave Milo a bath.
Meanwhile, Addison was enjoying some “Go Danny Go” dance time. Haha!
As I was prepping things for the week, I decided to try the mason jar fruit trick I’ve been hearing all about. Here’s hoping that it works to keep my fruit fresh longer. 🙂 Have you tried it?

I need to try the mason jar fruit trick! We’ve had a few days of cold weather followed by a few days or warmer weather, and it’s been cycling! No wonder I’m sick. We’re about to start junior high baseball games, and I’m excited about that!!

Our weather did the same thing this weekend. Friday was so lovely and then bam! right back to freezing. Your cactus is beautiful! I love all those blooms! It looks like you had a productive weekend. Those always feel great!
