**What’s up Wednesday** {7.31.2024}
It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.
Settle in ya’ll because this one is a long one. 🙂
1. What We Are Eating This Week:
Sunday: We ate with Mom & Dad. She cooked chicken & rice casserole, fried okra/squash/zucchini, green beans, and candied sweet potatoes
Monday: Joey’s Dad & Christy took me out for my birthday
Tuesday: was going to cook spaghetti, but Joey had to work late, and I had a late hair appt. I picked up Zaxby’s salads
Wednesday: Back 2 School Brinner
Thursday: Spaghetti with Salad
Friday: Camping
Saturday: Camping
2. What I’m Reminiscing About:
All these beach and summer/ 4th of July memories are giving me all the feels.
Here we are in Seaside. I think this was 2015.
This was before Addison. So refreshed. Haha!
And then in 2016.
This was crazy Covid- 2020. Those were such weird times.
And here is 2021.
Here we are in 2022.
And last year… such sweet memories.
3. What I’m Loving:
I wasn’t sure if I would, but I love my new Ugg slippers. They’re a little clunky, but I love that they’re toeless. I think they’re great for summertime! They were part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, so the sizes and colors keep coming in and out of stock.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:
We have had a very busy July.
We started the month celebrating the 4th!
We went to a Braves game!
We enjoyed more friend’s pool time.
We went camping in Tennessee and enjoyed lots of outdoor time.
We had a blast at Dollywood!
We had a great time at the lake.
And, we had an awesome time having a girls only slumber party!
5. What I’m Dreading:
I’m dreading getting back into the routine and having to get up early. Ugh! I enjoyed those lazy, slow mornings.
6. What I’m Working On:
I’m working on this blog post. 😉
7. What I’m Excited About:
I am excited about seeing students on Thursday and their sweet faces! They’re always so excited!
8. What I’m Watching/Reading:
I finished Summer Romance at the beginning of the month, and it was super cute! Very fun, very light, a lot predictable, but I enjoyed it! I love happy books, and this one fit that description. I would recommend it!
Now, I know this is going to shock a lot of you, but I didn’t just love Elin Hilderbrand’s final novel, Swan Song. It really made me sad to finish it and not love it. I mean, I’m glad I read it, I would recommend it if you’re an Elin fan, it just wasn’t my favorite.
What did you guys think?
I haven’t really been watching anything of value, so I’m not even going to list anything here. I mean if I’m honest, I’ve been watching Full House.
I have also been watching some of the Olympic events, when I can.
9. What I’m Listening To:
Not a thing at the moment. Everyone is asleep.
10. What I’m Wearing:
How cute and comfy are these pants from Social Threads. They come in different colors, but I got the teal color.
Don’t mind my top, I just had it on during these try ons. 😉
These pants are a little cropped. They’re also from Social Threads. They are the ever popular Risen brand. These are a cream color, and I feel they are going to be great for transitioning to fall. They do have a raw hem.
11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:
We are camping this weekend. A very short trip before school starts back in full swing.
12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
I am not really looking forward to school being back in full force. I guess I will say I’m excited for Addison to start back at dance.
13. Favorite Amazon Find:
Addison is rough on her shoes at school. I ordered this Crep Shoe Protectant from Amazon and have heard great things! It has great reviews, so it definitely can’t hurt.
I’ve also heard great things about this natural deodorant. I’ll keep you posted how it goes. So far so good!
14. What Else Is New:
If you made it this far, thank you! That is all!
Thank you all for reading. I am off to my last day of preplanning before students come back tomorrow!

It sounds like a wonderful July. My family and I went to Dollywood a year or two ago and we all agreed it was such a fabulous amusement part; definitely one of our favorites!

Have a good back-to-school week….I miss those days and don’t. Sigh. I guess it’s about making the most of the season you are in 🙂
