• **Top Five, Bottom Five: Thanksgiving Meal** {11.20.2024}

    Today I’m taking a cue from Shay at MixandMatchMama and doing a fun, little Top Five Bottom Five!  Today, since Turkey day is next week, I’m highlighting the Thanksgiving Meal.  I’m sure some people will shudder at my results. You’ll notice, I have no meat on it…  Here goes my…..  1. Mac n’ Cheese Now I’m very particular about my Macaroni n’ cheese. I don’t care for the Kraft or really even the Velveeta… I want a Homemade, extra creamy, extra cheesy good noodle. I make a Roux for mine and it’s divine to me. 2. Hashbrown Casserole or in other forms, Funeral Potatoes   This is also a must, and…

  • **Hello Monday** {11.18.2024}

    Whew! Here we are already back at Monday! It’s not too sad because we have 5 days then we are off for Thanksgiving break!  Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. Friday morning, I was running around like a crazy woman and dropped my favorite perfume on my bathroom floor. It busted and went everywhere. I’m not going to lie, I had to stand there and sulk for a minute.  But couldn’t be sad for long because it was Addison’s 8th Birthday, and we had lots of celebrating to do.  On the way out of school Friday, we stopped and had…

  • **Hello Monday** {11.11.2024}

    Well, hello Monday! We had a full weekend and loved spending lots of time with my little family.  Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. Friday morning, we had our Veteran’s day breakfast and ceremony. This is always one of my favorite days of the year.  I got to school about 6:20 to get the big coffee urns going. They take a long time to brew. I also needed to make sure I had plenty of time to get everything set out as people brought it in. The breakfast and guests were supposed to arrive at 7:30.  Funny story now… not…

  • **Friday Favorites** {11.8.2024}

    Hey Hey Friday!! My week started off fairly smooth then yesterday was like a cyclone came through. Yesterday was rough, and I’m glad the weekend is quickly in sight. Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Monday, we had a normal day at school.  Students were off school on Tuesday, for Election day, because our county uses the schools for voting sites. So, Monday night Adalynn was spending the night at our house and my Mom was going to come over to watch them there.  The girls requested to sleep in the playroom, so Joey was doing some more preparation up…

  • **Sausage Potato Soup** {11.6.2024}

    I made this soup Monday night, and it was definitely share worthy. A delicious  recipe for a cool, damp evening. For the most part, it was simple. I cooked it all from start to finish in about 1 hour.  I found the recipe here.  I have the complete recipe at the bottom of the page. I did snap some pics of the process.  Cook the sausage until brown. This Meat Chopper is always used when cooking ground beef and sausage. It’s very handy!  Once meat is cooked thoroughly, add in the onion, carrot, and celery mixture with a little olive oil. Cook until soft.  Then, add in the diced potatoes…

    Hello Monday! I can’t believe how fast the -ber months are flying by. We had a really chill weekend. It was great to just have some down time.  Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. We had an easy Saturday morning. We slept in, I did some morning reading time and then some cleaning and laundry.  Saturday was also a special day! It was this boy’s 1st birthday!  That afternoon, we made a Costco run. On the way home, we stopped by Target, and I ran in. The updated Christmas section made me stop and sucked me in.  When we got…
