**Hello Monday** {11.18.2024}

Whew! Here we are already back at Monday! It’s not too sad because we have 5 days then we are off for Thanksgiving break!

Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend.

Friday morning, I was running around like a crazy woman and dropped my favorite perfume on my bathroom floor. It busted and went everywhere. I’m not going to lie, I had to stand there and sulk for a minute.

But couldn’t be sad for long because it was Addison’s 8th Birthday, and we had lots of celebrating to do.

On the way out of school Friday, we stopped and had some pictures with the school rock.

We had to rush home because she was having a sleepover that night.

She was eagerly awaiting everyone to arrive.

They played outside for a bit.

Then went inside to have a break.

Pizza, cheese balls, fruit on the patio.

Plus a Stitch cake!

The girls found dress up clothes in the playroom and were cracking me up.

Then they decided to run around the house and scare themselves.

Joey joined in the fun and would pop out of the bushes to scare them. They were screaming, but they secretly loved it. I should have warned the neighbors. Haha!

I finally got them calmed down enough to watch Elf with some popcorn.

Then we brushed teeth and tried to start settling down.

That turned into hours of back and forth from upstairs to downstairs. Lots of “I’m not tired” and “I’m hot” and “I’m starving”. At some point during the back and forth, Addison decided to open some presents.

I finally gave it up about midnight and dozed off. I knew I would hear them if they went outside with the alarm. So, I wasn’t too worried.

Meanwhile, Milo was living it up at my Mom and Dad’s house.

The next morning, I found three asleep in the living room and three awake but slept in Addison’s bed. They didn’t make it in the playroom upstairs.

Chef Joey started making breakfast.

The girls were ready to eat.

They started leaving about 9:30. I hope they all had a great time. Addison was very happy they all got to come and lots of memories were made.

Shannon, Cindy, the girls and I went to shop at some Christmas Open House events in our downtown area.

I love shopping at small businesses for Christmas!

When Addison and I got back home, she opened up her presents from us.

That evening, we had family over to celebrate. We catered in a taco bar, and it was lots of fun! Definitely easy for me!

Lots of fun hanging out with the family by the fire.

Addison sure is one loved girl. We are blessed with wonderful family and friends.

We were cracking up… Mom, and Dad, also gave Addison money and said they would go to the movies.

She wrote on it Addison Chandler… which is my maiden name. I was like Mom?!? What in the world? Everyone was dying laughing.

Mom & Dad are going out of town the week of Thanksgiving, so yesterday, Mom, Addison and I decided to go ahead and see “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”.

I remember reading this novel to my students around this time of year. They always enjoyed it.

The movie was cute, and Addison keeps quoting Gladys. Haha!

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here! I really need to buckle down and start Christmas shopping!

Have a great week!
