**Hello Monday** {3.17.2025}

Last week was Speech/Language Pathologist Appreciation week. We gave our ladies a sweet treat to enjoy!

Friday, Addison and I left immediately after school. Joey was having Lasik eye surgery, so we wanted to make sure we got there in time. They were fast.
We got home about 7 and headed to bed as soon as we could.

We were up about 6 Saturday morning getting ready for Soccer Saturday.
With the time change, it was dark when we left our house.
The sky was beautiful when we arrived at the fields.

We got some good action shots this week. Addison’s expressions were cracking me up.

And a quick water break.
We were short about 5 players. We were proud of our little team.

Cheesin’ right before getting out for a Costco stop.

We were predicted to get bad weather and really high winds and possible large tornadoes Saturday evening and night. So, Joey worked on moving most of the outdoor furniture to the basement. I didn’t want a flying projectile.

Saturday night, we headed to Your Pie for dinner. We do enjoy it! I got a side salad. Then, Joey and I shared a BBQ Chicken Ranch pizza. Delish!

I made a pound cake for one of my sweet friends and coworkers whose Dad passed away. I took it to the funeral home yesterday.

When we got home we played a bunch of rounds of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. Have you guys ever played? It’s hilarious and so fun!

We all headed to bed in our beds, but I knew we would probably not be in them all night. My phone alerts kept going off. Then about 11:45, the tornado siren went off. We were in a Tornado Warning.
We woke Addi up and all headed down to the basement. We had already pre-prepped a little in anticipation of this happening. Milo thought it was time to party.
We could hear the wind and see a lot of lightning. I cold hear the rain really heavily coming down.
Around 1:30, we decided we were good to go back to our beds. Joey and I were glad because the air mattress was pretty much deflated.
I swear we buy one every year, it seems, and they all leak.

Sunday morning, the skies were a little cloudy then it turned into a beautiful day.
Addison and I made a run to the grocery store to pickup a few things.
We all went to the funeral home to visitation for Sharon’s Dad. We all gave her big hugs, and I delivered the cake.
Once we were back home, we enjoyed some beautiful sunshine.

Yesterday evening, we headed to Mom & Dad’s for dinner.
She had some cookie dough made up for Addison to make cookies for her class for St. Patty’s day. She enjoyed that of course.

And that wraps up our weekend!
I hope you all are safe from the storms and had a great weekend!

Glad you stayed safe. Tornados in the middle of th night are just the worst. We were supposed to get high winds so moved almost everything inside or into the garage but really we just had a lot of rain and lightning. Hope the lasik went well. My daughter had it two years ago and is so happy with the result. I like your treats for your SLP…I was a Speech Pathologist once upon a time. It’s nice to be recognized when you’re not a classroom teacher. Have a great week!

Glad the storm turned out to not be as bad for y’all! My husband lived in Ohio and claims he doesn’t remember tornadoes in that part of the country but I beg to differ. The midwest always gets them. LOL.
