  • **Hello Monday** Addison’s Birthday Weekend {11.15.2021}

    Today is a special day. Today, at 11:16 pm, 5 years ago, Addison Faith Hughes was born. She had a wild entrance into this world and has not slowed down since. She came screaming out and hasn’t stopped. We prayed for her for a long time and God answered our prayers.  She is spunky and full of personality. She keeps us rolling with her funny sayings. We are truly blessed she is in our lives. Some days are hard. But the saying is so true… The days are long, but the years are short.  I’m sharing about our weekend recap which includes her birthday party, and then I’ll do a…

    Well, the weekend flew by as usual, and we are already back at Monday. We have a busy 2 weeks, then Thanksgiving week! It’s crazy how fast these weeks will fly by.  How was your weekend? We had a nice, slow weekend filled with cleaning, organizing and a little shopping.  Addison’s teachers took this of her doing a little STEM/Science lesson building the tallest straw tower.  Thursday night, Addison did not feel well and was complaining of her ear hurting. She had a low grade temperature too. Joey got home from Colorado late Thursday night, so I tagged him to take her to the doctor on Friday. Since I was…

  • **Halloween Weekend Getaway** {11.3.2021}

    Last weekend, my Aunt Dot, Mom, Addison, and I took off Friday and headed to the mountains. We went to Pigeon Forge, TN. The weather wasn’t predicted to be very good, so we were a little bummed.  We arrived around 4 and decided to go ahead and have an early dinner at the Local Goat, one of our favorites, since we skipped lunch. Lots of laughs were had.  Addison’s awesome photography skills.  We left there and had so much fun at the Three Bears General Store. Acting crazy with the bear. We rushed back to the hotel because Addison was bugging us to death to go swimming. She had the…
