Weekend Recap {1.13.2020}
Hey guys!! I hope you all had a great weekend! Our weekend was very low-key, partly because I got a little stomach bug and partly because the weather was gloomy.
We started our weekend off Friday afternoon, with a trip to Target. I wasn’t feeling that great, very weak, so I made Joey meet me there to try to speed up our trip. I had to get a few things, and target had sent me a coupon, so I tried to maximize my trip. #thankyoutargetcircle
I don’t like to get our meat or produce/veggies at Target, so my plan was to get everything else here, then get the rest at Publix. #addisonsfavorite #freecookiesandsticker
Friday night, we met Penny, Joey’s mom, and family for dinner. We had been trying to get together, so we finally made it happen this night.

We were scheduled for some bad weather to come into town on Saturday, and it was very gloomy. However, the weather was so warm, unlike January. #perfectforstorms
I even opened the doors to try to air it out and let some germs out. We ordered a new bed, and it’s scheduled to arrive next Saturday. So, we tried to do some cleaning/prepping to get ready. I had ordered a new comforter and a new quilt. The comforter came in, but it has a large spot on it. With it being white/gray, you can spot it from a mile away. So, I will be returning/swapping it out. 🙁
While Joey and I did some things around the house, Addison played. Anyone else’s house look like a disaster from small toys everywhere 90% of the time. I try to let it go while she’s playing, but it tends to really work on my OCD tendencies.
Old Navy was having a big sale, and Addison needed a few more pants/jeans/sweaters to wear everyday. I ordered her some things and saved a lot of money. #notspendingsavingmoney

The bad weather/storms were scheduled to arrive between 5-6. We thought we could run to town around 4:30 and try to beat them. While we were sitting at Outback, around 5:15, they arrived. The lights kept flickering. We looked outside a couple times, and you couldn’t even see the parking lot. Lightning was flashing really bad. Luckily, just as soon as it came, it left. It was a very fast moving storm, and we were safe. #thankyoulord
An old wives tale says that if you hear thunder in the winter, there will be snow on the ground in ten days. #fingerscrossed
We got home early from eating and had a little dance party with Alexa and some 90’s pop music.

Sunday, we woke up pretty early. Addison started playing again after breakfast. She kept asking for snacks. Anyone else’s kid eat all the time? #snack #imhungry
The weather Sunday afternoon was beautiful. We went outside and tried to get some Vitamin D and fresh air. Rain is scheduled to return later tonight and stay for a few days.
That night we went to eat with my parents at their house. My Papa joined us there too. So good to see everybody. #goodforthesoul #thankyoumama
Sunday night, we all got our baths and lunches packed. It’s going to be a hard week having to teach all five days. Haha! I hope you all have a great day!! See you back here on Wednesday.
xoxo
