**Hello Monday** Thanksgiving Break Recap {11.27.2023}
Friday, a week ago, we left straight from school and work and headed north to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We arrived around 8 and were eager to get settled in and relax before a busy, fun weekend.
We woke up early Saturday morning to beautiful mountains from our balcony.
We got ready and headed to breakfast.
We killed some time by going into Three Bears General store. We were waiting for our friends to arrive.
They got there a little after lunch. We all got settled. We all stayed together in a condo, so we were making sure everyone was good to go.
Once settled, we headed to a Mountain Coaster. So much fun!
Joey rode with Addison. I rode with Nolan. He was silent most of the trip. I couldn’t tell if he was having fun or scared to death. Haha!
Once we finished our adventure down the mountain, we headed to the Christmas store. The guys watched the kiddos, and we did a quick sweep through the store. Everything is always so beautiful!
Addison did meet up with me at one point because we had to make a bathroom run.
We finished buying all the things and headed to eat at Five Oaks. It’s always a hit!
After dinner, all the lights were shining in their beautiful glory. We headed to walk through the River walk. It was a nice night to do this.
The next morning, we were up early and all headed to Dollywood! It’s always a favorite place!
First stop, was to head to the newest roller coaster- Big Bear Mountain. The kids did great! We all mixed up. Ha!
Addison rode with Shannon. I rode with Sutton. Joey rode with Nolan, and Dustin rode with Lawson.
The park was super crowded! Everything had huge lines! So, we tried to hit things with the shortest lines while we could.
Sweet friends. These girls have so much fun together.

Here’s my riding partner on the Elephants.
We were so excited!! We saw some school friends and snapped some pictures together. So fun!
The park always shows out for Christmas! The decorations are one of my favorite things!
Once the sun went down, the temperature dropped. We stayed until a little after 9 then we were frozen and walked out.
The next morning, sadly, we had to go back home. We had one last meal together at the Old Mill.
We had a great time together!!
Tuesday, I worked on laundry, unpacking, cleaning, and getting out more Christmas decorations. The weather was yucky, so I didn’t want to get out of the house.
Wednesday, Addison and I went into town. First stop was to the bakery. Mrs. Paula has these delicious Christmas tree cakes. 🙂
These little crochet Angel tree is very special to me. It has all our Santa Christmas cards. All the crocheted Angels were made by my sweet Great Aunt Mildred, my Papa’s sister. It makes me smile.
Wednesday afternoon, we all headed to the movies to see the new movie, The Wish. It was so good, ya’ll!! Has anyone else seen it? It was happy, it was sad, it was adventurous. We all loved it!
And, then Thursday arrived. I was in charge of the bird again. I also made homemade mac n’ cheese, broccoli salad, fried okra, and apple cake.
We ate lunch with Joey’s Mom and family. We enjoyed our time visiting with everyone.
We did swing by and see my Papa for a few minutes. He had already made arrangements to eat with my cousins, so we just went to see him and visit for a bit. I also took him some apple cake. 🙂
Friday morning, I was up early and meeting the girls for Black Friday shopping!! We were to our first store by 5:00.
I did a combination of shopping in the stores and online. We were all finished and ready to call it quits around 11.
Once I got home, I ate some lunch with Joey and Addison. Then, the weather was beautiful, and we headed to the park. Addison was trying out her new electric scooter. She’s still a little scared of it. It does go very fast.
Then, we came home and didn’t leave. It was great! I sat on the patio and read. We ate leftover pizza for dinner and made smores. It was the perfect night.
Saturday morning was an easy going morning.
Look at my cute, little Santa mug that I got at Target. It’s only $5.00, and you can snag it here!
Addison and I went to meet some friends for lunch at the Fickle Pickle. It’s a favorite place. Addison cracked up at the pickle dressed as Santa.
I don’t get to see these girls often, but I love these friends. We always pick back up right where we left off no matter how much time has passed.
Saturday night, Joey had to go into work for a few hours. Addison and I just chilled and watched Christmas movies.
Sunday, we went to church. Then Addison had Sutton’s birthday party. She had hers at the paint place also. Lots of fun was had!
That’s it for our wonderful break! Now just 4 weeks until Christmas. The fun Holiday festivities are beginning! It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! I can’t wait to hear all about your weekend!
