**Let’s Look at…. How We Clean our Closets** {1.17.2024}

Happy Happy Wednesday friends!! I can’t believe we are already back to a new year of Let’s Look posts. Typically, we post on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, but this month, because of how the New Year fell, it got moved to today.

Alright, so let’s get to it! On the second Wednesday of every month, I link up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything. Today, to kickoff the new year, we are talking about how we clean our closets.

Well, this is a daunting task that is not fun, and I do not enjoy. However, usually this time of year, I go through my closet and clean out anything that I haven’t worn in over a year. Some things are hard for me to let go. I always think, what if? Haha!

Do ya’ll do that?

Once I pull everything out, I usually message a few of my friends/family to see if they’re interested.

Over the weekend, I did go through Addison’s closet. She is getting so tall, that things that fit in the waist are not long enough for her height.

I have a whole room and closet upstairs full of totes and clothes. I did dig them out and message some people that were interested. So, that was a long process, for sure. But, it definitely needs to be done.

Our Roomba is on schedule to go 4 times a week.  However, if I need certain areas to be tidied up, I’ll activate it to clean some other days.

I also spot clean with our Shark Cordless Stick VacuumWe love it! It does such a great job. It’s light and even Addison can use it.

Nothing too earth shattering or exciting, but that’s how it’s done around here.

Sometimes, I just have people come over and pick out what they want. Especially with Addison’s clothes.

And here are the topics for the 2024 year. Lots of fun things to talk about!

Thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait to read your posts! This is a fun topic.

    I am the queen of “what if I need it”. I am trying to get better at it, but it’s hard. I hate to get rid of something only to need it again. Going through kids’ clothes is such a chore but a necessary one!

    My absolute best purging tip is to find a womens shelter/food bank/social services place near you and ask them what they need. I have been doing this for so long that sometimes someone will reach out and ask if I have (winter coat, kids pjs, snow boots, etc) and I find keeping the needs of others in the forefront makes it much easier to part with the maybes!
