It’s the last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and MatchMamaandSheaffer.I will share a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us right now.
1. What We Are Eating This Week:
So, with all the craziness that comes with school, meetings galore, busy schedules, etc…. I need easy things to cook. Here’s what we are eating this week.
Sunday: Beef tips, rice, fried okra, mac-n-cheese, and frozen cheesecakes
Monday: Hamburger steak with mushroom gravy, sweet potatoes, green beans (I meal prepped on Sunday, so thankfully this was already ready to heat up)
I also made a meal to take to one of my co-worker’s this week. The Pioneer Woman’s Baked Ziti… Here’s the final product.
2. What I’m Reminiscing About:
These popped up on my Timehop on Facebook. It makes me really sad to see how fast she grows up and how little time we actually have together before she’s grown up. Look at that sweet face.
3. What I’m Loving:
I’m loving these new wedge shoes. They’re casual but also super comfy. I can wear them at school all day, and my feet are dying at the end of the day.
I’m also loving all the cooler temperatures around here. I’m not looking forward to the cold weather to come, but am currently enjoying the temps right now.
4. What We’ve Been Up To:
We have been doing ALL the fall things around here. We have had so much fun at pumpkin patches, the fair, carving/painting pumpkins and more. We are all sad to see it end.
Joey got me a beautiful arrangement of flowers last Friday! It was so sweet, and I have enjoyed them.
5. What I’m Dreading:
I’m not dreading too much right now….. I am however, dreading the upcoming colder weather. I hate being cold, so not looking forward to that.
6. What I’m Working On:
I’m working on getting things prepared for Addison’s birthday party next month. She said she wanted a tractor party, so we are doing a farm theme. I’m just trying to make sure I have everyone invited, things planned/prepared, cake ordered, etc….
I’m also working on making sure I’ve got Christmas outfits ordered and starting to work on buying Christmas gifts. I do love buying gifts, so I’m getting really excited!! 🙂
7. What I’m Excited About:
I am super excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up! I just love all the family time and all the fun Holiday events that are to come! I love the magic of Santa.
We also have a trip planned during Thanksgiving break, so I’m excited about that! 🙂
8. What I’m Watching/Reading:
I haven’t watched a lot of TV because I just don’t have endless amounts of time to sit down and watch a show. If I have the time to watch a show, I typically watch it already recorded, so I can fast forward. And I’m usually multi-tasking like also reading, working on school work, folding laundry, getting ready….
The shows I’m “watching” are….
I have read a few books over the last month. I read this book again because I wanted to be ready for the 2nd book to come out earlier this month. It wasn’t my favorite book of hers, but I wanted to make sure I was current, so I could be ready for the next book in the series.
I read this book next, and definitely loved it better than the first one. They’re still not my favorite, but being one of Elin Hiderbrand’s biggest fans, I have to support her! 😉
Last, I read this book! It was awesome!! I couldn’t put it down. It just kept getting better and better, and I wanted to know how the story ended. It’s terribly sad because it’s based on a true story. I would definitely recommend this one!!
9. What I’m Listening To:
I’ve been listening to a whole lot of Taylor Swift radio on the Pandora channel when I get ready in the mornings…. it gets me pumped for the day!
10. What I’m Wearing:
I’ve been wearing a whole bunch of thisshirt…. It’s perfect for this time of year, and I love the color!
I’ve also been wearing this shirt. I love the color and the hi-low fit. It appears to be sold out everywhere right now. 🙁
11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:
I’m not really sure…. there’s a Merry Market on Sunday morning at one of the church’s in our town. My mom and I usually go, so we may go to that.
I would love to drive up in the mountains at some point and do some walking, and look at the leaves, but I’m not really sure what will happen. I’m just excited about being home with my little family.
I LOVED Before We Were Yours. Another really good book in a similar vein is Necessary Lies. I think it’s by Diane Chamberlin but don’t quote me on that 🙂
