**Polar Express Train** {12.15.2021}
Today, I’m sharing all about our trip on Sunday to ride the “Polar Express” train. It was so amazing and magical.
Addison woke up to her elf leaving her a note with instructions that her parents were taking her on a trip. She needed to bring the book, cup, glove and hat, and to changer into her pajamas. She was so excited trying to guess what we were doing.
It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive to Bryson City, NC where the train departed. I snapped this picture of the Nantahala river on the way up there.
We arrived in town about 3 hours before our train departed. We couldn’t pick up our tickets until an hour before departure. We had planned to eat some lunch and walk around the town. However, we only found one restaurant that was actually open, and they had a short staff sign on the door. So, we only had time to eat and then get our tickets. We did get some pictures in the train area before we had to board the train.
Addison was so excited about her golden ticket.

She is a hot mess.
We were getting ready to board.
Here we go. All Aboard.
We brought our copy of “The Polar Express”, so we could follow along as they read.
They gave us hot chocolate and a cookie for the trip.
They made it very interactive for the kids. Addison loved dancing and singing along.
Here’s a little video of her dancing.
We followed along the river on the ride.
We traveled all the way to the “North Pole”, and Santa hopped on.
Santa was great, and everyone received a silver bell.
She was loving singing “Jingle Bells”.
The train ride was about an hour and 30 minutes, and it was the perfect length of time. All of the staff were very nice and made it fun! I would definitely recommend it! I will see you back here on Friday for our weekly favorites.
