**Hello Monday** {12.5.2022}
We started off Friday morning all bundled up and festive for car duty.
I had a delicious lunch of chicken salad and broccoli cheddar soup on Friday. Not having to worry about packing my lunch is always a great thing!
Friday night, we loaded up a picnic and got all festive to go to a neighboring town’s parade. It’s always the best one around and has such a small town Hallmark feel.
I am just sharing some of my favorite floats. They’re so creative! Our favorites always include snow. We also love the fireworks!
And, Santa and Mrs. Claus wrap it up.
The next morning, we were up early and headed to Dance for Christmas Recital Practice.
After dance, it was straight to the ball court for the girl’s first basketball game. They have a lot to learn, but they did great for their first game! I was definitely hoarse after yelling the entire game! 🙂
After the game, we headed home to get changed into our Christmas festive wear and started driving South. We were headed to Callaway Gardens and their Festival of Lights. It was about a 2 hour drive, and we stopped to grab some dinner on the way. Joey’s mom also came along.
We finally made it to the park around 5:30. We walked around for a little bit.

Then, we headed toward the lighted pathway. Snow was blowing, and the lights everywhere were beautiful! We really liked the glow in the dark section.
When we finished with that, there were lots of big ornaments to take pictures with. We loved the carriage.
It was really foggy and there was a really heavy mist. We headed inside Santa’s village to hopefully get a little dry. We saw Rudolph and lots of other fun friends!
It was getting close to our trolley departure time, so we started heading that way.
We were so excited to be on the trolley and ready for the ride. Callaway advertises having over 10 million twinkling lights, and I tried to capture some of it.
My favorites were all the trees.
After the trolley, we left the park and made the long drive back home. We got home around 11 and were exhausted after the busy day.
Sunday morning, we slept in and had a pretty easy morning. I cooked breakfast, did laundry and some cleaning and organizing. After lunch, we headed out to hopefully get some Christmas shopping done and grab a few other things we needed from the store.
Last night, we ate dinner with my parents. When we got home, we did baths and showers. After Addison went to bed, Joey and I watched Yellowstone. I worked on this blog while it was on.
I’m tired from our busy weekend, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I hope ya’ll have a great start to your week! I’ll see you back here on Wednesday! 🙂
