**What’s up Wednesday** {1.31.2024}

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post. 

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: Marie’s Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Lima Beans, Fried Okra

Monday: Brunswick Stew  with grilled cheese 

Tuesday: Judy’s Chicken Enchiladas, Salad, Refried Beans

Wednesday: Leftover meatballs & sides 

Thursday: Leftover stew 

Friday: Out to eat!

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed! 

2. What I’m Reminiscing About: 

Loving all these memories. 

Wow… I will forever remember this day. I can’t believe this has been 10 years! The snow came so fast, and we couldn’t get the students on the buses and home fast enough. We don’t have the equipment, in Georgia. So, we had about 25 students and about 20 teachers that had to spend the night. My dad came and picked me up in his Jeep and took me home. We were going off road to get home. It took Joey over 6 hours to drive 20 miles home. We all remember this as Snow-mageddon.

In 2021, we had a little snow. 

Joey and Addison celebrated Donuts with Dad. 

And here is 2022. 

Addison had fun playing with these girls, and I had fun chatting with their Mom. 

We went hiking at Tallulah Gorge. 

We took Joey to the mountains, to celebrate his 40th birthday! 

And we celebrated another Donuts with Dad. 

3. What I’m Loving:

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

We started off the month bringing in the new year. 

We had girl’s weekend at my Uncle and Aunt’s cabin.  

We celebrated Joey’s birthday! 

We’ve still been playing basketball! 

Addison and I went on a field trip. 

We got Milo! 

We celebrated the 100th day of school. 

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. Just ready for Spring and some warmer weather.  

6. What I’m Working On: 

I’m working on this blog post as well as looking at student data and working on spreadsheets. 

7. What I’m Excited About: 

I am really excited about a week off next month and hopefully get into some fun things! 

And, I’m excited about Kristin Hannah’s  new novel, The Women! 

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I know you should be excited for me, but I finally finished Bright Lights, Big Christmas. 

It was super cute! Mostly predictable, but I did enjoy it! 

I always enjoy Sally Hepworth’s novels, and I was excited to start this one. It’s been on my to-read list for a while, I was just waiting for the right time. I am about 100 pages into it, and I am really intrigued! It has some twists and turns already. There is a ghost character, which I don’t typically like, but it’s not too far-fetched feel.

I’m not really watching anything with purpose right now… just watching random chick flick’s on Amazon Prime when I get ready in the mornings. Do you have something I need to watch? 

9. What I’m Listening To: 

Not a thing at the moment. Everyone is asleep. 

10. What I’m Wearing: 

These two tops are perfect for February.

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend: 

We have our last regular season basketball game. Then, I’m not sure what else we have going on. 

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

A week off! Haha! 

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

I grabbed these Blue Light glasses from Amazon a few weeks back and have been using them nonstop. I work staring at spreadsheets and schedules and working on meeting notes most of my day. So, I wanted to get some of these. They have awesome reviews!! These come in a pack of 2, and I got the Matte black and tortoise.
