  • *Weekend Recap* {11.25.19}

    Today is the first day of our Thanksgiving break, and I’m hoping that I’m sleeping in. At least past 6:00.  I’m sharing about our weekend. It was super low key. Saturday was rainy, so we did a lot of inside work.  One of our teacher’s offered to read a book and do a special lesson with some classes. So, we signed up. She read “Balloons over Broadway” which is just adorable. Then, the student made their own parade using ozobots. It was super cute! They LOVED it! They watched the parade at least 15 minutes. And they were sooo excited the whole time!  Saturday was so yucky! It was pouring…

  • **Friday Favorites** Girls Gifts Edition {11.22.19}

    Happy Friday, and Happy Thanksgiving break!! And ALL the teachers said Amen!! The students have been extra squirmy, so today couldn’t have come fast enough.  Today, I’m doing things a little different. I’m sharing some girl gift ideas for Christmas. I have a range of price points, so you’re sure to find something that works for your gift. Also, these are either tried and true, or are on Addison’s Christmas list this year.  Today’s post is sponsored by Amazon and Nordstrom. Both stores are my favorite because free shipping and free returns. You just can’t go wrong. 😉   Today I’m linking up with  Erika, Andrea, and Narci to bring you Friday Favorites.  Here we…

  • Girl’s day for Addison’s Birthday {11.20.19}

    I took off last Friday, and we celebrated Addison’s birthday with a girl’s trip to American girl store and bistro. My sister n’ law, niece, and mother n’ law went with us. The weather was yucky, and the girls insisted on using the umbrella.  They played for a little bit before our reservation.  Then it was time for lunch. The girls were cute “feeding” their dolls.  We took a last picture with the tree then went to ride the carousel.  We had a great day celebrating our little ray of sunshine. See you back here on Friday for Friday Favorites!  xoxo

  • **Weekend Recap** Addison’s Farm B-day {11.18.19}

    Well, it was a beautiful weekend with gorgeous Fall weather. Saturday, we had Addison’s 3rd farm themed birthday party. When we asked her what kind of party she wanted, she told us a tractor party, so the planning began.  She started out putting on makeup for the party. 😉  Then we were ready to party….  We are so thankful and blessed for so many friends and family that came to help us celebrate.  The kids jumped…..  Played in the corn…… They played on the playset…. We ate….  We rode Ellie, the donkey…. Played with “Chubbs” the pig….. Went on a hay ride….  Took pictures with Grandparents and Great-Grandparents….  We got…

  • **Friday Favorites** Addison is THREE {11.15.19}

    Today is a BIG day in the Hughes house!! Addison Faith turns THREE! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital. Excuse me while I curl up in a ball and cry in the corner.  I’m sharing all about my most favorite person today!!   Today I’m linking up with  Erika, Andrea, and Narci to bring you Friday Favorites.  This sweet, sassy, spunky girl is full of personality. She used to be so quiet and reserved. Not anymore…. Unfortunately, she acts a lot like me and copies my mannerisms. #stubborn #strongwilled #mamatried She has grown so much this year. She is taking ballet, has a huge vocabulary,…

  • **Weekend Recap** {11.11.19}

    We had a good weekend. The weather was chilly but beautiful. We started off Friday evening with a party for my Aunt Dot. It was great seeing lots of friends and people from the past.  ******************************************* Saturday morning we got up early. Joey cooked breakfast, I cleaned, then he went to get some hay bales, corn and other things in preparation for Addison’s farm party next weekend. When Joey got back we rode up to get some more party items and do some shopping. We are in the market for a new bed, so we are always on the lookout. We found a possible contender.    We came home, Addison…

  • ** Weekend Recap** {11.4.19}

    We had a nice weekend. The weather was beautiful. A little chilly but still very sunny and beautiful.  Friday after work, Joey’s dad planned to get Addison for the evening. Joey and I started with a date night to Target. #glorious  Of course it would have been better alone, so I could peruse slowly through all the aisles. #dreaming  When they dropped her off later that evening, she was still going full-force. She’s always 100 mph or 0 mph. There’s not much in between. She does love her Grampa, and her Granna.  Saturday morning, Joey had to go finish up some work. Mom, Addison, and I went to a local…
