Happy Friday!!! Today, like usual, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything andMomfessionals and sharing some of my favorite things from the week!! 🙂
I can’t let this day go by without wishing my bestie, Caroline, a Happy Birthday!! I thought I’d travel back down memory lane when we went to Europe together. We met in college and bonded over watching “Newlyweds” while eating Angel Food Cake with strawberries!! Haha!
We lived together, we traveled together, we have girls that are close to the same age, we blog, and we were almost born on the same day. I love you sweet friend!! You are definitely a favorite around here! 🙂
I had to bring back the floating head pic… Ha!
Last week, Joey was off on Friday. We headed down to Panama City Beach camping for a short, little family trip. We arrived just after lunch, and it was a scorcher! It was 97 and extremely humid. Setting up camp was miserable.
After setting up, we wanted to check out some things in the area. I hadn’t been to PCB in years. We picked up some doughnuts. #priorities
We grabbed a pizza that night and just hung out at camp. This little kite flyer is a favorite!
We played on the playground and met some new friends.
The next day was the 4th, so we got up early and headed to the beach.
Snacks were a priority. 😉
Reading at the beach is the best, and Elin Hilderbrand never disappoints.
We played for a while, then headed back to get ready. #givemealltheredwhiteblue #america
Some people ask where I get Addison’s bows. I always order hers from One Stop Bow Shop. I truly do feel like they’re the best. They hold up so well, can be washed in the washing machine, and are great quality. She has so many different colors. Most of hers are the Grosgrain Classic bows. I typically order her the Jumbo size. The one pictured below is actually a Grosgrain Hard Headband with a smaller Firecracker bow clipped on top of it. 🙂
The next morning, we woke up to very cloudy skies and rain was predicted most of the day… We went to the beach to check it out, and it started raining almost immediately.
We decided to head to Gulf World while it rained… I’ll share more of that and the rest of our trip one day next week. 🙂

Another favorite this week was driving up to visit my friend Katy, yesterday. It was actually my birthday. Addison and I left early to get there right when the stores open. She lives in a quaint, little mountain town about 1 1/2 hours away.
We shopped a little, ate some lunch, and then indulged in a Sweet Treat. 🙂
We got word this week that we, teachers, would be starting back on the original scheduled date, July 27th. Parents will have a choice whether they want their child(ren) to attend face-to-face school or do digital learning. The county specified that teachers/staff that cannot social-distance are mandated to wear a mask/face shield…. God Bless the people who have to wear them all day, every day. Just wearing it for a little while in a store about makes me light headed. I mean, I will do it if I have to, but it will be a learning curve for sure.
I thought that teaching the littles phonics would be challenging without them seeing my mouth/lips/teeth. So, I ended up ordering this face shield from Amazon. It has great reviews. And at under $10 it won’t break the bank if it doesn’t work.
Another favorite from the week was my sweet friend, Sharon, She ran by the most delicious mini cheesecakes. They were so delicious, I forgot to snap a pic. Ha! I am truly thankful for our friendship and excited about being her classroom roomie again next year. 🙂
You guys…. if you ever wanted some Tory Burch sandals in Sand Patent, run!!! HereThey are on Major Sale! They have just been restocked again. I LOVE mine! I wear them All the time! They’re timeless, and I’ve had mine for probably 5 years. Still look great!
Happy birthday! I think it would be pretty hard to teach any sort of phonics/ reading intervention/ speech type classes without seeing you lips & mouth. I hope the face shield works!!
