**Weekend Recap** {7.13.2020}

It’s Monday!! This Mama teacher is getting sad. Knowing that two weeks from today, I’ll be back in school makes me so happy but also sad… I have been home with Addison since March 13th, and having all that time with her has been wonderful. I know the reason has been bad, but it’s also been a little blessing for me to spend more time with her. 🙂

Let’s jump right in to our weekend recap….

Trying to study around here is quite comical…. I have “Let it Go” belting in the background, lead flying from the pencil everywhere that she’s attempting to draw with, and a three year old crawling all over me and yelling potty every 15 minutes. It’s hard to concentrate, but I know she just wants my attention.

Friday night, Addison spent the night with Joey’s Mom. Saturday morning, we slept in until 7:30 (woo-hoo). I started cleaning, doing laundry and organizing some things upstairs. All whilst Trisha was on in the background. My favorite shows on Food Network are Pioneer Woman and Trisha. However, when she sings at the end of every episode, it’s always a little awkward.

While I was busy working inside the house, Joey was doing the real manual labor outside. We are going to build a pole barn to put our camper and other things under. The materials just arrived this past week, so Farmer Joey got busy digging holes and getting ready to pour the concrete.

I truly am so lucky… there’s really not anything he can’t do. It’s just hard for him to get time to do it all…

My parents wanted to “take me out” for my birthday. We pondered whether to go out or just pick something up and eat at home. We ended up going really early in hopes of missing the crowd. The restaurant wasn’t too bad, but as we were leaving, it was starting to get busy.

Italian is one of my favorite types of food. We never go because Joey doesn’t really care for it. So, on my birthday, I typically choose to go eat Italian.

Sunday morning we woke up to a little mouse playing in our room. 😉

Addison’s sweet teacher sent her a post-card welcoming her. She was so excited!! 🙂

Sunday afternoon we went to visit one of Joey’s Granny’s and his Dad, Grandpa Chick-Chick. She loves playing with Grandpa Chick-Chick!!

That’s it for our weekend…. I hope you all have a great day, and I’ll see you back here on Wednesday! 🙂
