**What’s up Wednesday** {9.28.2022}

Hey Hey Friends!! I can’t believe September is almost over!! I feel like this month flew by. It makes me a little sad too because I love the Fall months and all the activities.

It’s the  last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I am sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

Grab your coffee, PSL for you not for me ;),  tea, or whatever you’re sipping on and settle in.

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

With having last week off and trying to reorganize my life, this week’s menu is a little bit of hodge podge.

Sunday: We ate at Mom & Dad’s house. She made Chicken Casserole, Spinach pie, Lima beans, and Candied sweet potatoes

Monday: Polish Sausage, diced potatoes, pinto beans, air fryer okra

Tuesday: Spaghetti with Salad

Wednesday: Sausage Leftovers

Thursday: Leftover Spaghetti

Friday: Chili & Hocus Pocus 2… can’t wait!

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed!

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

So many sweet memories popped up on my feed this month from all the Fall activities. Fall is definitely a favorite around here.

Look at these sweet memories that popped up from 2017. Addison was almost 1 when we went to the apple orchard.

Here’s from 2018 when we went to Disney. Such a sweet and magical time.

The excitement on her face makes my heart swell.

These were from our beach trip in 2020. I remember the weather being very chilly. We needed jackets on the beach.

And, these memories were from last year when we went to the beach with my Mom & Dad.

3. What I’m Loving:

I love a good candle anytime, but a Fall and Winter candle is a favorite. This capri candle is a definite favorite! I love the smell of this one, and it lasts forever.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

At the beginning of this month, Mom, Addison, and I had a girl’s day to do some shopping and lunch. We had the best day! So much fun and so many laughs!

Addison celebrated Grandparent’s day with all the Grands.

And, we had so much fun attending a sweet, young lady’s 16th birthday party! Addison was digging all the sweets and smores bar.

On our break, Joey and I went on a getaway to celebrate our 10 year Anniversary to St. Lucia. I can’t wait to share all about our trip. Meanwhile, Addison had a blast with my Mom & Joey’s Mom- going swimming, making crafts, & camping out.

We had a lot of fun at our community Riverfest festival. The weather was beautiful.

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on this blog post.

I am also working on some school stuff and typing up meeting notes.

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am really excited about this movie debuting this Friday! We are hoping to watch it outside with the Outdoor Projector and do smores, on the firebowl, however, Hurricane Ian is supposed to come in on Friday, so we may have to move the movie inside.

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

We have been so busy this month, that TV hasn’t really been on much. I did start watching Partner Track on Netflix, and I am enjoying it. It reminds me a lot of Ally McBeal.

I read One Italian Summer last week while we were on our trip. It was the perfect book for the setting, and I loved the book! It had mixtures of sadness, happiness, humor, shock… I just can’t say enough about this one. You should read it! She also wrote In Five Years, which was one of my favorite books during the 2020 Covid time, and I would recommend it too!

Here’s what Amazon has to say about this one.

“When Katy’s mother dies, she is left reeling. Carol wasn’t just Katy’s mom, but her best friend and first phone call. She had all the answers and now, when Katy needs her the most, she is gone. To make matters worse, their planned mother-daughter trip of a lifetime looms: to Positano, the magical town where Carol spent the summer right before she met Katy’s father. Katy has been waiting years for Carol to take her, and now she is faced with embarking on the adventure alone.

But as soon as she steps foot on the Amalfi Coast, Katy begins to feel her mother’s spirit. Buoyed by the stunning waters, beautiful cliffsides, delightful residents, and, of course, delectable food, Katy feels herself coming back to life.

And then Carol appears—in the flesh, healthy, sun-tanned, and thirty years old. Katy doesn’t understand what is happening, or how—all she can focus on is that she has somehow, impossibly, gotten her mother back. Over the course of one Italian summer, Katy gets to know Carol, not as her mother, but as the young woman before her. She is not exactly who Katy imagined she might be, however, and soon Katy must reconcile the mother who knew everything with the young woman who does not yet have a clue.

Rebecca Serle’s next great love story is here, and this time it’s between a mother and a daughter. With her signature “heartbreaking, redemptive, and authentic” (Jamie Ford, New York Times bestselling author) prose, Serle has crafted a transcendent novel about how we move on after loss, and how the people we love never truly leave us.”

I also started and read Book Lovers. It was so cute!! Very Rom-Com-ish, which is Right Up My Ali- Way. 😉 I laughed out loud many times throughout this one. And, I would definitely recommend this one. It’s a super fun, easy read.

Here’s what Amazon says…

“Nora Stephens’ life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby.

Which is why she agrees to go to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina for the month of August when Libby begs her for a sisters’ trip away—with visions of a small town transformation for Nora, who she’s convinced needs to become the heroine in her own story. But instead of picnics in meadows, or run-ins with a handsome country doctor or bulging-forearmed bartender, Nora keeps bumping into Charlie Lastra, a bookish brooding editor from back in the city. It would be a meet-cute if not for the fact that they’ve met many times and it’s never been cute.

If Nora knows she’s not an ideal heroine, Charlie knows he’s nobody’s hero, but as they are thrown together again and again—in a series of coincidences no editor worth their salt would allow—what they discover might just unravel the carefully crafted stories they’ve written about themselves.”

9. What I’m Listening To:

Right now I’m listening to something playing on the TV. I think Addison is watching Barbie on Netflix.

10. What I’m Wearing:

How cute is this leopard pumpkin shirt from Amazon? I love the orange color. It’s not too orange, even a little peach-ish. It’s perfect for the Fall. It has a really cute cuffed sleeve. Right now it’s on sale, so go grab it while you can.

I can’t find my exact shirt, but this one on Amazon is very similar. I love the saying for Fall.

I just snagged this tee at a festival last weekend, but I found one similar on Amazon. So cute! I love it because it will be great to wear to teach in, and it’s perfect because Hocus Pocus 2 is coming out this month!

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

Friday, like I said earlier, we are hoping to watch Hocus Pocus 2 on the projector.

Saturday, we have a couple different things we may get into. One, might be going to Joey’s Granny’s house for a gathering.

Sunday, weather permitting, we want to go to the Apple Orchard. Since last weekend we couldn’t go because of rain. Fingers crossed it happens.

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

Next month, I’m super excited about more Fall Festivities & Halloween! It’s the best!! Give me all the Apple Cider & Caramel Apples and cozy sweaters & boots.

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

I ordered this ring from Amazon, and it was spot on perfect to take on our trip! I wore it all week, wore it in the pool and ocean, and it didn’t change. It was still sparkly, and my finger didn’t turn green. Ha!

I used this straw clutch on the trip, and it was perfect for using at night while at the resort when I didn’t want to carry a huge bag, but I wanted my phone and lip things with me.

14. What Else Is New:

I can’t think of anything else. I feel like I’ve shared a lot with you already. 🙂

Thank you all for popping by to read and support my blog. I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!
